It shows him to be a coward that's afraid of having his actions challenged, including his policies (or lack thereof) and his criminal acts. Not that I'd expect many republicans to have the balls to challenge him hard on these things. He's also not going to pull this just for the republicans. He's whined every time there's a debate and threatened not to participate. He's under indictment for like 90 felonies and instead of using that against him his primary opponents are going out of their way to defend him. The only reason he has to attend is tradition but he has contempt for the democratic process itself so it's no surprise he doesn't care about upholding the traditions associated with it. --- "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose.
