*damn it Last Faith was supposed to replace Blasphemous II because it just came out.

  • Tormentum 2
https://store.steampowered.com/app/931060/Tormentum_II/
Tormentum II is a Point & Click adventure game taking place in a dark, surreal world full of gloomy characters and repulsive creatures taken straight from the scariest horrors. Tormentum II, a long-awaited continuation of the dark adventure game inspired by the works of H.R. Giger and Zdzisaw Beksinski.

The first game was short but a fantastic point and click horror game. More of an aesthetic thing then trying to actively scare you but jeez is it good.

  • The Last Faith
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1274600/The_Last_Faith/
A dark, gothic fusion of metroidvania and soulslike. The Last Faith thrives on merciless and precise combat with a huge range of weapons, firearms, and custom executions at your disposal. Let nothing stand in your way.

Castlevania meets Bloodborne, it could be great or it could be s*** but it looks amazing.

  • Hades 2
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1145350/Hades_II/
Battle beyond the Underworld using dark sorcery to take on the Titan of Time in this bewitching sequel to the award-winning rogue-like dungeon crawler.

Needs no intro it's Hades.

  • Silksong
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1030300/Hollow_Knight_Silksong/
Discover a vast, haunted kingdom in Hollow Knight: Silksong! The sequel to the award winning action-adventure. Explore, fight and survive as you ascend to the peak of a land ruled by silk and song.

I don't think this one needs an intro as everybody knows this one, in fact it probably shouldn't be on this poll because it's just going to dominate.

  • Phantom Fury
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1733240/Phantom_Fury/
Shelly Bombshell Harrison is back in this highly interactive mix of first person action and road movie adventure. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled journey around the USA. Use an enormous arsenal of weapons and skills to battle treacherous soldiers and vile mutants, all while trying to save mankind.

I don't know how many of you played Ion Fury and this is a bit different than your typical boomer shooters since this is like the next step up (think more like Turok). I mean just watch that trailer It's so f****** hype.

  • Mina the Hollower
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1875580/Mina_the_Hollower/
Take control of Mina, a renowned Hollower hurtled into a desperate mission to rescue a cursed island. Whip foes, burrow through the ground, and explore a pixel-perfect world in Mina the Hollower, a brand new game from the developers who brought you Shovel Knight!

Creators of Shovel Knight, Castlevania meets Oracle of Ages/Seasons, what's not to be hyped about?

  • Earthblade
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2239640/Earthblade/
You are Nvoa, an enigmatic child of Fate returning at long last to Earth, in this explor-action platformer from the creators of Celeste. Earthblade's lush pixel art world offers seamless exploration, challenging combat, and countless mysteries to pick apart.

This is going to be the next game from the creators of Celeste! Celeste was a great game it's just I'm not a fan of pure platformers and this brings combat to the table so I'm seriously pumped for it!

  • Sea of Stars
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1244090/Sea_of_Stars/
Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.

  • Conscript
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1286990/CONSCRIPT/
During the First World War, a lone French soldier must navigate twisted trenches, scavenge for limited supplies and solve complex puzzles - all whilst fighting for survival in the midst of mankinds most brutal and horrifying conflict. CONSCRIPT is a new take on classic survival horror.

I played the demo for this and it was way more fun than it has any right to be. Seriously good horror game, dripping with atmosphere and feels like a classic.

  • Gestalt: Steam & Cinder
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1231990/Gestalt_Steam__Cinder/
Inspired by 16 and 32-bit classics, Gestalt: Steam & Cinder fuses tight 2D platforming and exhilarating combat with an engrossing, twist-laden narrative in a stunningly handcrafted steampunk world.

####

Bonus:
  • Blasphemous 2 https://store.steampowered.com/app/2114740/Blasphemous_2/
The Penitent One awakens as Blasphemous 2 joins him once again in an endless struggle against The Miracle. Dive into a perilous new world filled with mysteries and secrets to discover, and tear your way through monstrous foes that stand between you and your quest to end the cycle once and for all.

I had to move this one down here from the poll because I realized it actually just released!

  • SpellRogue
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1990110/SpellRogue/
Spellrogue is a turn-based, deckbuilding roguelike where you cast powerful spells using your Mana Dice, gain legendary artifacts, upgrade your spells and experiment with potent combinations to annihilate the Voidwalkers corrupting the world.

I've been really interested in Phantom Fury since they've announced it, but that game is probably in Development Hell now since there has been no update since that reveal trailer a year ago.

I think they want to finish Ion Fury: Aftershock DLC first before they put out the sequel.

And that's the nice thing about indie games is they can take as many years as they want to finish it because there's no investors rushing them to release an unfinished product.

Which also seems like it's in Development Hell. Plus, it doesn't help that Phantom Fury have a 2023 release date.

Hades 2 because, well, c'mon now.
Still though the indie I'm most looking forward to is Agent 64, totally sold based on the demo.

maybe Sea of Stars.

I have the first Hades and Hollow Knight, but I haven't really played through them, so I'm not in a hurry to play their sequels yet.

I'm not too worried, 1-2 years is nothing in Indie game time. Just look at Silksong lol.

Also if Defenders Quest 2 can finally come out after 11-12 years than any game can come out.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/252190/Defenders_Quest_2_Mists_of_Ruin/

That game seriously pissed off people. They initially opened up pre-orders right after releasing the first game and had to shut them because they realized they were nowhere near finishing. There were perpetual delays and years without hearing anything but it looks like it's finally coming out now.

Meh, I care less about how long it takes for them to actually put the game out and more so about what it says about the development process.

Announcing a huge expansion, then a year later, announcing a sequel (which itself is slated for a 2023 release date that it's likely not going to hit and has been radio silent for an additional year since it's announcement) without putting out said expansion (that has been announced two years ago at this point and delayed a couple of times) is a sign of some truly shit management.
It's even more concerning when you contrast it with how much more transparent and open during Ion Fury's development.

I guess that's what happens when you partner with 3D Realmsthe kings of Development Hell.

Cyber Shadow sits around 75 on user scores. Don't think it received the darling attention that Shovel Knight did.

Never tried it myself; it's low on my back log list but it's on my backlog list at least.

No mystery or detective games like that. The closest you're going to get is Tormentum 2, which is a point and click adventure. The first game was kind of shrouded in the unknown because the game has a world that says bizarre as they come.

Ahh i have bad habit of looking at poll and scrolling to the bottom. Im on my phone so didn't see the links

Anyways I am actually aware of the 1st tormentum game but never gave it a try cuz I prefer 1st person perspective point n clicks (and I haven't exhausted all the options for it yet). ill just vote for its sequel anyways. I have read some good reviews about the 1st game and maybe will try it one day

Well if it's any consolation Tormentum can be beat in one gaming session. How long to best says it only takes 3 hours.
