I finally finished up BotW last night and getting ready to start Tears of the Kingdom. I forgot how slippery these damn analog sticks are on the pro controller, and the rumble function may as well not be there since you can barely feel it.

I'm thinking about getting that $20 adapter that allows you to use Xbox and Playstation controllers but not sure how reliable it is

I wasn't very impressed with the pro controller for switch either considering how long it took to deliver. I never see them in stores.

Didn't realize you could use other systems controls.

Nintendo just can't help but make the worst controllers lol. I tried using the joycons on my brother's switch, and I just shake my head. It's awful.

My main issue is the sticks. Not sure why they made them convex instead of concave with that slippery finish. Your finger glides across it like touching a cell phone screen, where the Xbox controller actually has grip.

Your finger might. But my finger holds to it just fine.

Yeah it's the best controller they've made since SNES.

Maybe mine's defective. I'm either gonna pay $20 for the adapter or put some grip tape on it. The difference between Pro and Xbox core controller slippage is drastic

My only problem with the Pro Controller is the trash D-Pad.

The Pro Controller is an amazing controller. The battery life lasts forever and it's really comfortable imo. I just with it had proper analog triggers and a d-pad that didn't suck.

The Wii U Pro Controller on the other hand is probably the most underrated controller ever.

If you have a Switch with homebrew capacity, look into Mission Control. Allows you to use a huge variety of controllers on your Switch with no need for adapters.

I played Tears of the Kingdom with the Wii U Pro controller.

The Wii U pro controller blows ass, the right analog stick should never be above the buttons. That flaw alone makes it shitty.

The stick position is actually brilliant. It's better for both 2d and 3d games

So great that's where they decided to keep the position on their next console. Oh wait...

They only changed it so it would mirror JoyCons, which are designed offset style so either JoyCon can be used solo

I got it specifically for the rumble tbh, my other "pro" style controls didn't have it. I have to agree with TC, it's a very weak motor.

That aside it's a great controller, looks and feels well made and works perfectly.

I wish they'd hurry up and make a first party "pro" wireless GameCube controller, by which I mean one that has a good rumble. I love the GC controller, especially for smash. Think the only controller I've liked more is the PS5s.

I feel like the pro sticks get better after a little usage. I thought they were way too slippery when I bought it as well.

Don't have switch but I use these on all my controllers. The tall convex pair has small bumps for grip
