I admit, Share the World is good. It's catchy and fun, makes the show look good, and being extra length helps too. But Nana Hitsuji is still one of the most creative anime intros I've seen. I'm too much of a compsci nerd to vote otherwise. Not that I expect this reasoning to grab too many.

The Real Folk Blues's animation is nonexistent, but it's still a great song, and I don't think that much of the Engaged to the Unidentified OP on the whole. Also, and I think this is a fair objection, that OP is pretty rude towards Hakuya even though he's the male lead. That would turn me off of the show.

I have to admit the part at the end with Luffy fighting goes hard and synchs up with the music perfectly, but the song itself just isn't strong enough, nor is it good enough to justify the entire extra minute this OP over most other anime OPs.

I gave it a chance, but the moe visuals and the one singer that sounds like a seven year old did nothing for me. There was little it could've done to overcome my intense nostalgia.

I don't think Share the World is even in my top 5 One Piece OPs. Nana Hitsuji reminding me of Windows screensavers but fantastic song that I have in my spotify playlist (and I always forget where it's from since I haven't watched the show)
Hate voting for a literal slideshow but Tomadoi does almost nothing for me.

not big on either of any of these except the real folk blues which has no animation to speak of but which blows the others away in terms of song. the noir stills are cool too.

The Real Folk Blues is probably my favorite piece of music in the contest. I'd vote for something with that's great both musically and visually over it (like Nana Hitsuji, which is honestly making me want to watch The Perfect Insider, despite knowing nothing about it,) but its opponent isn't it.

I've never watched One Piece (though I've probably seen more clips on youtube & spoiled more on it that I should've), and "Share the World" is probably the first of its OPs that I saw, I remember it was posted on B8? I instantly loved it, I love the song, how it namedrops the characters, how it gives you a sense of just how big the One Piece world is. It really made me want to look into it more, who's this character, what does that development mean, etc. And like GenesisSaga said, the synch-up of Luffy fighting along with the song is just great. My only nomination from a series I haven't watched, too.

Both good songs in first matchup and will vote for that winner next round over whoever wins second matchup, for sure.

The Perfect Insider ED isn't quite as good as the OP (which--yes--I know is also in the contest) but it's still great. Good song with some very cool visuals. I don't think I knew what Conway's Game of Life or the context behind it was when I first watched the show, but it definitely makes this ED even cooler especially in-context. (Side note: Some neat ideas but I think the show flubs the execution a lot--do not recommend). The One Piece OP is fine but I don't care much for the song and the visuals can only help it so much.

Tomadoi->Recipe is a mostly cool song with some really creative visuals and a lot of personality. Pleasantly surprised by this one, but unfortunately it's up against an all-timer. The Real Folk Blues would be better with some better visuals, but honestly the gritty photograph style also kind of works for this particular show such that it doesn't get knocked down that much. And the song itself is just fantastic.

share the world is way too long why is it this long. why are the visuals super amv-core. so many questions!! meanwhile nana hitsuji has amazing visuals so even if i feel about the same on the songs, nana hitsuji takes it

second match is wild, i feel like if real folk blues was actually in motion i would 100000% be voting it here. songs good but i can't vote for slideshow with a fadeout end lol. tomadoi->recipe's visuals are pretty take-it-or-leave-it, i really don't care for em that much. but the song is also a bop and pretty much on par with real folk blues, so yeah it's gotta be tomadoi

That second match really illustrates how silly the insinuation of song + animation has been for this contest. Real Folk Blues is probably my favorite song in the bracket, 'animation' be damned.

First match was pretty close, but ultimately I liked the song and style of Nana more. The second match was easy. I'm biased as hell towards Engaged to the Unidentified, but, even if I wasn't, the total lack of animation in that Cowboy Bebop one would've made it lose against almost anything.

Something about Share the World's chorus feels off relative to the rest of the song. Almost like it's off-key, but it's just a weird modulation. Nana Hitsuji was fun with the interplaying of the two vocalists. The Real Folk Blues is such a good song. Easy vote for it.

Share the World honestly might be suffering a bit from there being a One Piece OP in yesterday's match, at least for me. But I kinda dig the actual song of Nana more anyway and it's pretty neat for an ED.

Second match is actually kinda rough for me, I do genuinely like both. I think the starkness of Real Folk Blues edges it just a bit over Tomadoi, but that's no shame to Tomadoi as I still enjoy it.

OP having 2:30 OPs is pretty OP ngl. it's also just hype. that said, the animation does feel worse in the second verse. One wonders if they ran low on budget? I love the art in F, the code being actual code (MAKEFILES! *squee*) made me smile, but the music kind of bored me.

I have never heard TomadoiRecipe before but I now want to watch the show so on some level the OP clearly succeeded with flying colors. Shame it's up against an absolute god... You know what? I'mma vote for it anyways. Real Folk Blues is a superb song, and the style of the art is fantastic, but the still images isn't great. The show's definitely showing its age a bit, there. Recipe feels like the more complete package.
