This will absolutely kill my business. We are gonna be fucking done if this happens. We are on the edge. Not sure if the lights will stay on through the end of the month. Really struggling, tbh this place doesn't even make that much money.

It's shit like this that stifles creativity. I'd love to employ more people and give away to charity. I used to run a soup kitchen, but not anymore. We've got nothing left.

The fact is, you give a poor person a dollar and they will spend 100% of that dollar. But if you give a business owner a dollar they will re-invest it in America, create several new jobs, and expand operations.

Look, the truth is I started with nothing. I've been there, I've paid my dues, I pay more than my fair share of taxes, and I know what it's like to be poor.

My business? Pawn shop. Mostly I pay people 1/6th of what their stuff is worth and sell it for double. Generally speaking, it's mostly drug addicts selling jewelry they swiped from their parents or power tools they found in a dumpster. Trust me those are not the types of people that know how to save, invest, and grow a portfolio.

My employees? Minimum wage. I wish I could pay more but that's all we can afford.

My car? Corvette. I know what your thinking, but it's not like I own it. I lease.

I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like Sir, you need to pay for those first. At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually to prevent any electrical infetterence, and then turned around and winked at me. I dont even think thats a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
