I drink out of a big water bottle and refill through the day. But what if I threw a few bags of green tea in there? Cold brewing is a thing

are you asking what will happen if you make tea?

I mean take the bags out at some point cuz if you just leave em in there you'll have extremely strong/bitter tea.

They sell waterbottles specifically designed for this purpose. >_>

The worst case scenario that'll happen is that the bag rips and you get pulpy tea.

Yes. Too long a brew creates tannins that make the tea nasty.

If you're drinking it faster than that, you can reuse the bags at least once or twice through the day. Just throw them out when you get home because a used tea bag is a perfect breeding ground for mold.

No like how some people leave lemon slices in their water bottle that they drink through the day. But using tea bags instead

It depends on the size of the bottle and the tea bags but I wouldnt leave them in there for more than a couple hours if you only fill it once per day.

You're mostly gonna be drinking gross tea-flavored water since it takes several hours to make cold brew tea.
