I've done all inclusive resorts (drink and premium dining included), and enjoyed them.

I wouldn't want it for every holiday, but sometimes it's exactly what I needed.

I like the concept of a laid back vacation where I have amenities at my fingertips, but would like to arrange it for the scenery to change as well.

A cruise it nice in theory, but then you're dealing with norovirus and generally being on a plague ship.

yeah... i went with my sister and her friend like a decade ago and it was great. i ate gourmet hamburgers everyday for free.

TC, do you think when your kids are older you might have more say in vacations? Maybe the wife wants resorts now because they are easier to manage with younger kids. But when your kids are older they will have time for all the cultural stuff you like. Idk
