I firmly believe that no one should be able to run for any congressional position or the presidency if they are over the national retirement age. And raising the retirement age is one of the few things that is universally opposed across the aisle. So if they tried to raise it to stay in power they'd be voted out anyway.

It's especially dangerous in the judicial branch. We're coming up against a new generation that will be dictated by AI and we have people making laws who don't understand what social media is or how it works. Fucking dinosaurs.

You could have said "Elvis was still alive" or "Gerald Ford was US President". Choosing something that the average person didn't own until the 1990s is an odd choice.

Hes been in office since before the Vietnam War ended. I am proud of his 37 days of honorable service, though.

because that's not the point

the point, as I explicitly stated, is that he's been around longer than cell phones existed, and then you extrapolate that to all of the olds in Congress

then you use your personal experiences with olds and trying to use technology, and you should come the realization that olds don't need to be making any laws based on the current landscape of our world since they don't understand it.

using who was president back then is pointless for this example since no one here was around for that. but they were for the explosive advent of cellphones, internet, and general technology, the same as the olds were.
