Not sure if this board was ever into Adventure time, but the new HBO Max show came out with 2 episodes. You can tell they're trying to make use of the more adult stuff they're allowed, but it doesn't feel overbearing, at least imo.

I didn't pay too much attention to the teasers, so episode 2 kinda surprised me with how it was a Simon episode (with a lot of Finn as well). So it isn't just Fionna and Cake being isekai'd into a magical world, so it seems. Overall, I have a pretty good impression of it. Probably gonna be worth watching weekly(?) as someone with some nostalgia for the original show.

That was pretty funny, I actually forgot that happened. I can't really tell who her boss was meant to be. Same for Gumball's boss.

You probably could watch it without seeing those, theres only one thing so far that Im pretty sure wouldnt make sense, but they were pretty good iirc, so Id go ahead and watch them first I think, dunno if theyll heavily reference anything else that happened there.

Fuckin watch those theyre so good

Fiona and cakes first two episodes blew me the fuck away. Way better than I expected and I am fucking HYPED

I never finished adventure time (just never got around to it) but I figured Id check this out, and I thought it was pretty good but also annoying how directly connected to the main series they made it right off the bat. Had a chance to be its own thing an immediately the second episode is a full on sequel episode to stuff I hadnt seen yet

seems like theyre really limiting the audience for a new series right off the bat

I was surprised to learn this existed as well. The first two episodes were extremely solid imo, and based on some reviews I've read from people who saw all but the last two episodes it's gonna be awesome.

I resubbed to HBO just for this show, lol.
