The amount of casualty death, the cultural trauma of occupation and the ultimate failure of the endeavour leading to the Taliban's resurgence is an affront to humanity, and the American military industrial complex is a scourge on the world. So understand that I say this as someone who's critical of war, as well as America waging war too. This war was started by Putin and Ukraine has the right to defend itself. Ukraine defending itself isn't "prolonging war", Russia's ongoing occupation and rape of Ukraine is - and insisting that the only way for peace is for Ukraine to submit is a gross mischaracterization of peace. Peace would be Putin pulling out of Ukraine and letting them exist as a sovereign nation, and then handing himself in for all the murder and rape he authorised and encouraged. So to that end, I do support American military aid to Ukraine.
