I don't know how to talk about that one. We are going through a recession, but the safety of Ukraine is a top issue too

Can't tell if Twitter is just Russian disinformation or a legitimate complaint (Biden sending our money there).

Agreed. On top of finally giving the people of Ukraine the arms and ammo they need, we should finally bite the bullet and flat-out embargo Russian oil, too.

That would require opening up domestic supply, which the current administration is very reluctant to do for some reason.

I support Ukraine defending itself, and to that end I support our countries sending aid and helping them.

I don't support war, global or otherwise. The Iraq War was a clusterfuck, I firmly believe that America dragged Australia into war over 9/11 and the subsequent lies of WMGs from the Bush/Cheney administration and it's a fucking travesty that we used depleted uranium over there. The amount of casualty death, the cultural trauma of occupation and the ultimate failure of the endeavour leading to the Taliban's resurgence is an affront to humanity, and the American military industrial complex is a scourge on the world. So understand that I say this as someone who's critical of war, as well as America waging war too.

This war was started by Putin and Ukraine has the right to defend itself. Ukraine defending itself isn't "prolonging war", Russia's ongoing occupation and rape of Ukraine is - and insisting that the only way for peace is for Ukraine to submit is a gross mischaracterization of peace. Peace would be Putin pulling out of Ukraine and letting them exist as a sovereign nation, and then handing himself in for all the murder and rape he authorised and encouraged.

So to that end, I do support American military aid to Ukraine. It's a more noble cause than the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Ukraine is undoubtedly the correct side to back in this conflict.

Yeah. The Ukrainian people want their country to continue existing, and I think that's something worth supporting. It may actually be the only thing worth supporting with violence (to retain the ability of self-determination), tbh. That's not the reason why the US government is so interested in helping them, of course, but there's not much I can do about that.

i'm not 100% sure on this, but i got the impression that the US isn't actually sending that much in financial aid.
most of it is just stuff that's laying around in the warehouses that's worth X billions of dollars, and then the headlines just go "US sends X billions to Ukraine"

and most of the stuff being sent was just taking up space otherwise, and was about to just get disposed of for getting to old anyway

It "doesn't matter" either way, because no one is actually pushing for turning the money for Ukraine into money for Americans. It's just a non-sequitur.

No I support American genocide against the Ukrainian people, which is why Im voting for Donald John Trump to become president for the rest of his lifespan. When Donald Trump becomes president he will surely shove off or imprisoned that pro-human race persevering bastard named Milley. He prevented Trump from using Nuclear Weapons and possibly starting a Nuclear War. Donald Trump is just itching to launch Nukes.

Putin has shown a simulation of launching nukes so surely Trump would help Putin and end the Human race. Because the Ukrainians and possibly Humanity has committed the ultimate crime: Existence.

No point.

The people that want to put boots on the ground conveniently always have excuses why they aren't already over there putting their money (more accurately their own direct life) where their mouth is.

As for the topic question, my opinion what most here have already shared. Yes, we are sending weapons.

Not just that, but we are also demonstrating the superiority of even obsolete US weapons against modern Russian (and therefore also Chinese) weapons, while gaining knowledge to apply to current and future systems.
