Have any games specifically sucked on the switch compared to other systems?

it feels like they just dont even try if its gonna suck

though the streaming kingdom hearts is laggy and stupid and was such a waste of money

Rune Factory 5 was originally made for Switch and couldn't even manage a stable 30 fps. Genuinely baffling that it released in the state it did.

You see the switch is a underpowered console. The fact that it could run major third party games at all should at least tell you that the devs tried to get the game to run. Whereas some devs won't touch the switch because they know they can't their game to work with the switch, at least not without some major compromises (lowered resolution, compressed files, decreasing bthe amount of assets on the screen, toning down special effects, lowered frame rate)

No. The Switch has a lot of amazing games, the problem is and always has been Nintendos inability to adapt to modern hardware. I've said it since the announcement of the OLED Switch that they needed to upgrade the memory from 4gb to 8gb to adapt to modern games. That solves most of the issues playing 30 fps games smoothly and would help with most screen tearing.

They don't need to be like the Steam Deck, nor do they need to compete with Sony or Microsoft. People buy Nintendo because they make unique games that only Nintendo fans like myself care about. They just need to upgrade the internals to something able to run them properly. If they upgraded the memory to 12 gb that essentially makes it perfect for the next 15-20 years.

I would like to see their next version of a Switch be modular, or at the very least easier to replace parts on ones own.

On the flip side, there are egregious examples of devs not putting in the time or effort to get things to run on the switch that obviously could.

The cloud versions of Kingdom Hearts come to mind. Save 3 MAYBE. but even that one I doubt.

But they aren't. That's the issue. Just look at Pokemon Scarlets tearing issues. Half the reason that happens is because the hardware isn't good enough to keep up with the game. Even keeping a consistent 30fps is difficult for modern switch games. When modern I-Phones can play your games better than your console, then you have to adapt.

Or, and hear me out here, OR...

there are far more graphically intensive games that run much better on switch than SV, and gamefreak were just lazy hacks who have a history of cutting corners to keep super-short dev cycles.

I'm not gonna argue that the switch isnt underpowered. It is. But multiple things can be true at once, and plenty of devs pull the "underpowered" excuse to just lazily dump ports on switch for easy cash without bothering to try

What if the game never came out on the Switch and then you got people saying Soul Hackers 2 wouldn't have flopped on the Switch. Forgetting that SMT V was a Switch exclusive! I spend too much time on youtube and looking at comments sometimes.

This is obviously a trolling topic/bait, of course it isn't there.

This is like saying that if the ps4 version of a next gen game sucks, then obviously the devs have no idea what they're doing. When you're stuck working on weaker hardware, it just happens. Especially when you don't want to or can't waste resources trying to make your game work as good as possible on every available hardware rather than make the best possible game for the hardware it's meant to be on.
