I didnt have any kind of login either starting a new game. Im just assuming it was automatically bound to my PSN Hoyo account.

If thats the case I dunno if I could safely transfer my Star Rail mobile to PS without losing my 3 years of Genshin.man why is this a pain

My account was already linked when I signed in to PS5, but I had started Genshin on phone and linked it via hoyolab, and also started Star Rail on phone. Idk. Have you tried linking your accounts on the website?

As far as I know my Genshin is through just PSN while my Star Rail is through an actual Hoyoverse account. My Genshin doesnt appear to be linked to anything and I dunno if linking it through my Hoyoverse SR account will lose me everything or not

If you've never linked Genshin to any hoyoverse account for cross-platform stuff then there should be a way to do that because the game isn't locked to PS5 if you start there. But if you created two separate Hoyoverse logins you might be screwed. I'm not really sure though...you might have to go through support.

i don't think i'm gonna change my mind and pull for her, but jingliu looks less annoying to play than i thought

As far as I know my Genshin isnt tied to any Hoyoverse account. If I go to the section that mentions Linking it says I cant use an email for an already existing Hoyoverse account though so I dunno how Id even link the two :/ I contacted customer support via email to see if they can help me link the two accounts to play on PS5 without losing any of my data

Login with the account you used for Star Rail, go to Account Security Settings, and see if you have anything linked for PSN.

If you do, I would say if you have the space for it, download Genshin on your phone, and see if you can get the account that you've been using on PlayStation. If you can, then you're all set for Star Rail.

If you don't, then well, be careful of linking it right away because I don't know how it could affect your Genshin account.

For me, I didn't have to do anything. I just logged into Star Rail on PS5, and my lowly account that I played for a few hours on PC was right there.

I appreciate that the rewards for this new event are basically a build-your-own Jingliu. (I did end up pulling for her after missing the 50/50 and got her and bankrupted myself of jade in the process)

The event itself is decent.

I'm interested to see how theory on Jingliu's best build changes over the coming days. I'm already seeing takes that her Talent is so silly good that you don't need any Atk% main stat relics since you can reach approximately 4000 attack during her transcended state anyway. Which then means you can run Speed boots and ER rope without any noticeable hit to her DPS.

I haven't looked anything up and I'm sure others know better than me but my gut says you want some amount of Crit% and Crit Damage.

I don't have the speed boots yet for Glacial, but been doing just fine without them.

I refuse to humor all these YouTube theory crafters insisting on the Quantum set.

Min max crit rate amount is 20% from substats to reach 70% for Arena during transcendence. More crit rate is welcome or course, but anything over 50% is a waste. Crit Damage body is a MUST, hell it doesn't even matter if it's a completely worthless set, you MUST have crit damage body.

Oh yeah, that's a given. You want Crit Dmg main stat on your Body piece and wherever else you can get it as a sub stat. Crit Rate you don't need as much of since you can get up to 50% for free from her talent. You want at least 70% for the Rutilant Arena effect, but the more the better obviously. This also means party members that lower enemy defence or buff crit are better for her than ones that just buff attack.

I finally built Pela in preparation for Jingliu and she's been great. I'd run Pela and Tingyun both, but since Jingliu is skill point netrual it really seems like a waste to not have another skill point negative DPS in the party.

I wonder how many hours, days or weeks it will take to get a reply from Hoyoverse customer support

Jingliu "companion mission" my ass, that was a full budget epilogue.

Ok yeah Jingliu definitely makes all my other dps characters look like a joke.

Of course I'd been stuck with Dan Heng as basically my only single target DPS character of note, but I digress. (Arguably Silver Wolf I guess, but at E0 she can't quite keep up with Dan Heng in terms of raw damage numbers despite being more useful overall.)

cons:
- i like topaz
- i don't really care about jingliu
- i can already 30* MoC
- i have yanqing level 80, i guess

pros:
- i have blade and the synergy seems absurd
- yanqing sucks and i never use him, so i'm sure i'd use her if i built her

i guess it comes down to how much i'm willing to spend on topaz and how much i want her light cone...

as a kafka support: sampo > guin > luka unless you really need buff removal
as a general-purpose debuffer: SW > pela ~= welt > guin

Have to say my favourite Jingliu interaction is the camera mode exploit that permanently removes her blindfold (until you leave the current area anyway). She just stares... unblinking.

Clara and especially Bronya are the most future proof 5* units on the Standard Banner.

Pela is E4 and Luka is E2, but Luka is also on the Topaz banner that I will be spending all my excess Jades on even after I get her, so I said fuck it and just redeemed for Pela.

I mean it's not like I'll have a lot left if any, lol. I'm just not pulling for HuoHuo and am only pulling fo Hanya on the Argenti banner, and will only be pulling for Ruan Mei in 1.6 (hopefully phase 2), so I figure I'll just snap up what Guinaifen Eidolons I can. I don't expect to get multiple copies of Topaz.

I don't really want Topaz or I think any of the 1.5 characters so I will probably have a lot of Jade for whoever comes after that. (I guess assuming I still play regularly through that time period which is not a guarantee)

Ruan Mei sounds like a character I'll probably go for. Don't know who else is in 1.6 or any later patches though I know I want Screwllum whenever he eventually drops.

Other 1.6 character is Dr Ratio, Imaginary Hunt.

Well that's probably a big miss. Maybe I shouldn't judge until/if the story properly introduces him (I didn't like Screwllum until he appeared in-game either), but his character design doesn't exactly inspire confidence. I could probably use an Imaginary Hunt character admittedly, but that isn't enough to sway me alone.

I think the Archeron entry is a mistake. She's confirmed to be the Emissary of Nihility, but that's like how Jing Yun is the Emissary of The Hunt. 90% sure she and the Lighting Hunt Raiden Mei Expy are the same.

At this rate I won't get Jingliu even though she really fills a spot for me. The 4*s from this banner are pouring into the already-E6 garbage though.
