What's with the clickbait title? I work well over 40 hours a week. I don't make as much as I could be, but I hit the grind. My cats want food twice daily, my fucking living room needs to be vacuumed weekly, and car insurance isn't going down like they said it would, and this is how you treat me? Do you have any idea how hard it is to get out of bed, let alone think, let alone look at this board on the internet, and you think it's funny, you think it's cute, to just drop a video like this as if that legitimately contributes to the society of gamers in any way, tangible or otherwise? This paragraph is so much more enriching than your clickbait title, you fiend, you fool, you phallus, I wish I could reverse time, I wish I could start my day all over again, I never would have clicked this,

But yeah last couple videos bombed, and in comparison the Prime remake video did much better with a similar title. Don't hate the playa hate the algo.

That's only for posters who only ever show up to make topics. OP is one of the major posters of the board, always contributing in other people's topics.

That's fair -- I've seen wg around awhile (been watching his channel since before #snowdick), but could not ignore the clickbait title.

Also MMX1 is good. OG >> X in terms of the series at large, but MMX1 stands among the best of any of the MM games even when I prefer a few others over it.

Trust me guys, I hate the clickbait title as much as you. I just don't know what else to try to get some traffic.

Thank you very much for the kind words, it really means a lot. This is kind of the dilemma I find myself stuck in. I tend to get less and less traffic with each video, which sucks. Problem is it's impossible to tell the quality of a video without clicking it and watching it, and I'm not well versed in how to increase click-through rate.

I wonder if successful creators just stick it out and keep making content until they get that one "lucky break" vid that just lands in the algorithm or something.

I think that was probably true for the big boys who got their audience from years ago, but to hit it big now is unheard of.

I dont even aim to "hit it big" in that respect either. But some kind of steady growth, even a little, would be preferable to nothing.

Social media is a tee-total bitch in that way. My belief is that natural growth as we think of it has changed from like 6-8 years ago to now. I figured it out before with my food blog -- steady posts, hashtags, outreach, good unique content --and it worked then...but good lord, nowadays it's like a brick wall trying. All this experience is around Instagram, but still.

Based on the views, the people demand more Donkey Kong!

But yeah, another good video. I like how you'll focus on little tiny minutiae that most videos wouldn't, like the charged blaster shots.

There's no issue with quality, sadly that's just not the biggest part of growing (or watching as a consumer).

The metroid prime one probably did better because it was informative and relevant about something new. At least that's the one I watched for those kinds of reasons.

A 40 minute review for an old game that has historically lots of coverage is a tough sell.

Have honestly seen an uptick in this. While not huge, it's not like it was doing anything before so any incremental improvement is a W to me.
