bittersweet moment. Lots of bands playing though

12:15: Urethane
1:15: the bombpops
2:15: get dead
3:15: swinging utters
4:15: codefendants
5:15: lagwagon! Cant wait for them
6:15: circle jerks
7:15: mother fuckin nofx. Theyre playing two full albums and then their normal set. I think its something like 43 songs

finally in line to get in, missing the first band but its okay

they sound great from here though!

Back in the mid to late 90's I was in the military and there was this local place called The Boathouse that was a legendary smallish venue that held about 1,500 people. Some pretty big bands would come through there even though it was a small venue.

One of my best friends in the Navy had turned me onto bands like The Vandals, NoFx, Pennywise, DRI, and a number of others. I took a real loving to NoFx and Pennywise and the best concert I was at was at The Boathouse and it was NoFx and Pennywise. What an awesome show that was.

Last years punk in drublic was the vandals, pennywise, reel big fish, the bombpops and nofx

this lineup is great but that one was amazing

Definitely hard to beat that lineup. I really do enjoy The Vandals. I also saw them with The Offspring at the Boathouse in the mid to late 90's and that was pretty awesome too really.

Nofx was one of the first bands I ever saw live when I was about 15. Even though I haven't really been big into them for years now, I'll always love them.

Pennywise does not suck and reel big fish is one of my favorites and Ive seen them many times so you can eat a walnut

Awesome. Enjoy. I like Lagwagon, don't know as much about those other bands actually. Hopefully one of the albums nofx plays isn't Liberal Animation, was it. The first one lol

I dont get the hate for Pennywise at all. Theyre one of the best skate punk bands.

but I usually have things for myself at concerts and just didnt get any for this one so Im glad I found this guy

Home now! Show was amazing. except the barricade between the stage and the audience broke and so they had to stop for like 15 minutes while they fixed it. It was fun but we definitely lost some songs.

Speaking of Nofx, have you ever read their book that came out several years back?

It's pretty good and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's a fan.

Idk a single song from them but I once helped my friends put up big sheets saying Nofx at a local bullwinkles that could be seen from the freeway and they stayed uo for weeks

Lmao I just played one of the little boy covers why was he playing Bro Hymn by Pennywise? I miss going to shows. I never went to a ton but, it's the, music is a reason to live back then.

Those long ass festivals are the worst. I would rather see like 4 bands max. Its just hard to remain enthusiastic for a while day and night.

I still go to long shows, but I think it does a disservice to the headliner when the crowd is tired

White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean and The Longest Line EP are my personal favourites.

They're both from the same era as Punk in Drublic, so you'll probably like them as well.

My favorite is So Long and Thanks for all the Shoes. I do have Punk in Drublic but with NoFX I cheated and just bought "The Best Songs Ever Written...by Us." So it has a bunch of songs from the past into the newer 2000s. Franco Unamerican is on it :D That's a catchy one. I don't really know them album by album very well.

White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean is my favorite followed by Heavy Petting Zoo. I really think often Heavy Petting Zoo flies under the radar. I just really really like their stuff through the 90s.

War on errorism is probably their most famous after punk in drublic, but I love their newer albums as much as their old ones. Coaster and self entitled are both amazing, coaster has some of my favorite songs by them, and then first ditch effort has probably my favorite song of theirs in California drought

He played between each band and played awesome punk covers. Dude played same in the end by sublime and fuckin crushed it

its cool to have fun all day. You just miss some bands you dont care about and eat a sausage and drink a bunch. Everybody was definitely all in by the time Netflix showed up

I am sad I never got to go to a multi-day festival. I wouldn't want to now, too old and crotchety, but back in the day it would've been awesome.

If only I got any interestomg ones here in Oregon :(

Multi day ones are a lot, you really gotta be okay with missing things and focusing on the things you wanna see. Going to aftershock soon and thats always a good time, though its mostly not my kinda music. Rancid will be there though

Yeah ar that point it's as much about the people as the bands. Especially if there's camping, I've had some great experiences. Actually had my first mimosa made for me by a neighbor while camping for Black Sabbath lol

Camping would be extreme as fuck. Id be down but I dont see it ever happening for me.

i went to rock the bells a couple times and that shit was waaaaaay different than any of the punk/rock festivals. All rap was crazy. Not my music but definitely had fun

also saw holograms of easy e and odb so that was cool

When I say camping I don't mean deep woods or anything, when I saw Sabbath the extend of my camping was I slept in the truck bed on a mattress then walked to the concert.

Either at home or a hotel, usually. And by usually I mean every time
