this. intentionally steering toward somebody is premeditation automatically. if you just happen to be driving in the bike lane/on the side of the road and hit somebody you can argue it wasnt premeditated, but specifically aiming for that is premeditation period

The fact that they saw the cyclist and deliberately swerved to kill him while being in a sound state of mind is sufficient evidence for premeditation.

@ExistentialFear I am one of those people who believe that the vast majority of people are neither 100% good or 100% bad and that the vast majority of people have both good and bad qualities in them.

But I also believe that there are SOME people out there who are pure evil and the kids in this video are proof of that. These kids aren't mentally insane. They knew full well what they were doing when they decided to run that man over. They knew full well it was 100% completely wrong.

That was pure fucking evil and there's no coming back from that. There is no rehabbing them in the hopes that one day they can re-enter society. I'm not advocating for the death penalty but I also believe they should be in prison FOREVER without the possibility for parole. If they can be rehabbed, then let them be rehabbed in prison. Records show Jesus Ayala, 18, the accused driver, who was 17 at the time of the alleged crime spree, is facing 18 charges including murder, attempted murder, battery with use of a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident, and numerous larceny and burglary charges.

Ayala, and Jzamir Keys, 16, who is identified as the second suspect, are both due to appear in Las Vegas Justice Court on Thursday afternoon. Key, who police identified as the passenger in the vehicle, is facing murder, attempted murder and battery charges.

Police revealed at a news conference on Tuesday that the teens were involved in a crime spree starting with a hit and run of another cyclist. The 72-year-old man survived. Police said they believed Keys was the driver at that time.

In the video recorded by the passenger, the teens are seen hitting another car on the road moments before hitting and killing Probst.

The teens had stolen four cars that day, police said.

The teenager who police say intentionally struck and killed a retired police chief in Las Vegas said he would get a slap on the wrist after he was taken into custody, the 8newsnow.com Investigators have learned.

Jesus Ayala, 17 at the time, appeared to show no remorse while being taken into custody. Ayala, now 18, faces 18 counts including murder and has a lengthy criminal history in the juvenile system.

Ayala made comments to police after he was taken into custody:
