But this new stuff I just got to had been pretty interesting. Because it becomes a chore to watch the anime due to how slowly its adapted. as for watching the anime? Id say restart from the beginning. Yeah, anime Luffy is really dumb as bricks and wouldn't really work in a live action setting, so making him a bit more emotionally intelligent and thoughtful did wonders for him. (I've only seen up to Little Garden, though.) He still has the same core traits as his anime counterpart, but I appreciate not having to go "god, this guy's an idiot" once every couple episodes.
