There are higher end labels like AG with superior workmanship and fit.

But Levis are absolutely fine everyday jeans.

Yes. I prefer the 501s, but the 505 is basically the same jean with a zipper instead of the button fly. 505 is also a little looser cut.

I like the 514 for Levis. I like jeans that sit lower on the waist, and 514 is one of the few that do. I usually don't wear Levis, but that is the kind I wear when I do own a pair.

505 is too wide at the ankle opening. Too baggy and it's usually with the rougher denim.

502 is very comfy.
