I like comedians in cars getting coffee. Hes a good conversationalist. His standup is lame however and is nowhere on Carlins level

dude is funnier on his own show than he is at stand up.

even in his own show, he's the least funny character compared to the rest of the gang...

I forgot about that series until I saw he had Colleen Ballinger on it LMAO, him talking to "toxic gossip train" pdf years ago is wild. Especially when he dated a 17 year old in his 30s too

The age of consent in most places is at least 16, so it's not technically illegal, but when they're under 18 & you're in your mid 30s it's real fucking weird & I'd keep my distance from people scooping up high schoolers

Hes a legend, yes. Clean stand-up is so much harder to pull off well.

Nothing he ever said in the standup segments of Seinfeld were ever funny to me, so I naturally never sought out anything else from him.

His standup is meh. Not terrible but not great. The show is wonderful, one of my favorites.

I do think its really gross that he dated a kid while in his 30s. Beyond that he also seems like a really shitty, conceited person.

His stand up is way better than these new hack comics that exclusively work the crowd. These guys are the worst. It reminds me of that scene in Nutty Professor where Dave Chappelle's character makes fun of the audience. Like who goes to a comedy show to be made fun of. They need to work on their material. And when they do regular stand up, they suck.

He's fantastic in any kind of interview. I loved him when he'd pop up on Curb Your Enthusiasm. His actual stand up has one or two bits that I've seen that even made me crack a smile

I think he's funny because he sticks to everyday randomness most all of us can relate to.

Still, some of his jokes can seem less of a payoff once you realize how specific he can sneak his scenarios. 'Ever wonder why X is so Y? How about we just do Z, it's right there?!' ...when Z could have 50 logical (historical) reaons... but we're already swimming in the bit, we're not thinking about it.

He's a hit and a miss with me, but I love his show...

Do love that one stand up bit about peeps that call you at home to advertise...

Jerry: This isnt a good time.
Telemarketer: When would be a good time to call back, sir?
Jerry: I have an idea, why dont you give me your home number and Ill call you back later?
Telemarketer: Umm, were not allowed to do that.
Jerry: Oh, I guess because you dont want strangers calling you at home.
Telemarketer: Umm, no.
Jerry: Well, now you know how I feel.

As someone who hasn't seen his stand-up, I can confidently say no.

Some bits are great like the Donut Hole.

Used to really be into standup and go to a lot of shows. IMO, Seinfeld's a solid "C" standup comedian. Carlin (who I never saw live), would be a B+/A-.

Somewhat, from what I've seen. I think his real-life standup is better than the standup on the show.
