Nah. The person who installed that pipe needs to be thrown off the cliff into a volcano.

...what location has a cliff that overhangs a volcano below with easy access for tossing a human into?

That's not really off a cliff and unto a volcano. That's just right into the volcano. Pluss being that close your body would burn, they clearly are not wearing proper protection. And are they giants? I don't think TC had work done by giants.

Start by sawing off enough to be able to install say a 8" pipe using couplings to attach to the bottom. Use the piece you cut off to match at the store if your uncertain of the diameter.

Start at the top and you should have enough play to place the new pipe in the coupling coming from the ground.

Edit:I'm not a plumber, but I've also done all of my own if need be.

That 90 looks damaged, or I can't tell if you cut the pipe right on the edge of the 90's coupling end where you should've left about a few inches to have some pipe to connect to.

Unless the bottom part is easily moveable, you'll need a coupling extension if movement is limited. You'll have to cut a bit more to allow the new coupling to fit between. Get your self pvc primer and water resistant pvc glue.

Don't know what the hell happened that made the previous plumber to cause so much primer spatter (there's SHIT EVERYWHERE!)

So I took it all apart and put new PVC in. No more burst shower of water. I'm pretty sure I tightened as hard as I could but there is still like a droplet of the faucet coming out. I can live with that for now until I brain storm what to do

So I had a guy come out and look at it. Because the drip was bothering me. He said it would be 700 dollars and I said fuck it Ill figure it out. I took everything apart and started again. Figured out the reason for the drip lol. I took our the Teflon tape and opened it but never used it.

Its fixed now, no drip

Good shit, tc. 700 is crazy, though. That looks like 2 hours worth of work, so they were probably trying to get one over you.

Oh well, you got experience for next time while saving several hundos in the process.

Was this the main water supply line coming in?

Teflon? Was there somewhere else that was a threaded piece and not a solvent end?

But sounds like you got it handled. Most times I'd recommend just cutting on an area and starting new, I never trust old pieces but sometimes you don't have a choice

Edit: ah, I zoomed in and I can see the x 1 inch coupling at the wall
