I admit, I should be more mad at this. In a perfect world this guy would be the most corrupt politician in the nation. But, in reality he's like in the top 10 at best.

"At least no children were hurt," is a actually something positive I can say here.

Fuck the Egyptian Government, it might actually be a country without the current assholes in charge.

He'd have gotten away with it too, if only he were a Supreme Court justice

Part of preserving democracy, imo, is getting rid of elected officials who take bribes.

I heard about this on NPR yesterday, it really is some blatant old school corruption done in such a stupidly obvious way. Apparently he googled how much is a kilo of gold worth on his personal devices, and then the money stuffed in his monogrammed jacket. I dont see how the accusations could not be true with whats come out so far so hopefully he doesnt avoid justice.

The bribary is messed up but what's really messed up is that it's likely a LOT of foreign countries are bribing this country's government officials the corrupt runs deep in this whole system.

I literally said he needs to go (and have said it multiple times in this topic). I've also thought that was true the last time he ran and had even voted for his primary opponent, Lisa McCormick. The Republicans aren't even trying to hide what they plan to do if they regain office though. They are openly admitting they will destroy everything. I'm sure the millions of people who lose their medical and civil rights would understand it just had to be done immediately instead of waiting until after the election to get rid of him.

The point I was trying to make is moot anyway because since I posted that many Democrats here in NJ have come out asking for him to resign. Even if he refuses to resign, unlike the 2018 election, he's lost support from the Democrats in government and they will most likely support whoever his Primary opponent is this time. He's thankfully done for.

The really messed up part is that the bribery is legal in most cases thanks to the Supreme Court.
