Any more like it? Where you have all your traversal abilities and need to explore the entire castle in any order you like?

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

what I mean by open world is that by the time you get to the second castle, you have all your skills and can basically go anywhere you want right from the start, theres no longer an intended order/path an invisible hand is guiding you along

like in all the other games, you need to go a certain path and get the double jump, which opens up an area where you can get the slide, then maybe a wall jump, and then the area where you find the super jump, etc.

Second Castle is basically 100% open with no progression-based barriers

The inverted castle had no blocked passages that could only be opened from the other side?

SOTN is only linear until you get to the library and buy the thing that opens blue doors.
