I completely forgot about this character until I briefly saw him in a video the other day.
Any time I thought about Xeno 3 for the past few months, I thought more about Matthew being the protag of Future Redeemed.

Did people like Noah?

I liked him.

He's also the only Nintendo character to actually share a kiss with someone else onscreen in a way that's clearly romantic.

Literally the only reason I remember Lanz exists is because one of the few things people say about Xeno 3 is the line where one of the other party members is making fun of him after a fight.

Qualifier was "onscreen". When Shulk did it, the game cut away from it, and it was also framed as him giving her water.

I loved Noah. He's my personal favorite Xenoblade protag next to Shulk.

Found a picture of the characters.
Here's what I remember about these party members.

Noah: Cannot remember any personality traits. Plays a flute.
Mio: The only real thing I remember is that something big happens in one of the later chapters. Also plays a flute.
Eunie: She says the line about Lanz people quote. I think she was a healer. Every time I try to remember what her voice sounds like, I mistakenly start remembering Sydney's screeching from Payday 2.
Lanz: Not Reyn. They simplified the Machina design so he isn't as visually distinct as he could have been. Pretty sure he was angry about something that happened years ago.
Sena: A fully realised nothing character. I remember nothing. The Ethan Winters of the group.
Taion: Taion was cool enough. I had to look up a picture to remember he exists but his personality was noticeably different and he had the best interactions with the others.
The Nopons: The green one was kinda standoffish and that should have made him more fun to have around, but it never clicked. There was another Nopon.

I just watched the scene again, and just like the first one, the camera cuts away and is aimed in such a way that there's ambiguity on whether it's actually another kiss or just a hug. Especially since Shulk's head is more to the side when they are embracing.

Since this is rendered in-engine, I'd love to see an alternate angle to get a more definitive answer.
