Btw, there's an extremely familiar sound in the background of that video; one I definitely remember from some classic arcade game. I was thinking wacky gator at first but no, it's not that...so damn familiar. What games are bear that in the arcade you're at?

Yes! There is a character select screen at the start! You get to choose between Eddie Brock, Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and flash Thompson, with unlockable characters as the game goes on!

What do the characters do for you? Looksoke the most interesting second screen since Mushroom World Pinball which let you play a 2d Mario level with the flippers.

Not sure if it's house of the dead 2; but it did sound like some kind of weird monster or creature being bashed/shot noise like "urburrbu" or somt.

Each character had different stats when you picked them.

If I was still there Id list them all for you. Based on the video I took I can say.. Eddie Brock starts with 2 locks lit, and a more valuable mayhem multiball, and they all have different skill shots

and the games that are near this pinball machine are house of the dead 2, and foo fighters pinball.. and I dont think its foo fighters pin all youre hearing

South Park, lord of the rings, adams family, this venom one, Houdini, Deadpool, terminator 2, spiderman 3 (the movie tie in one.. so fucking cool)

I also recently played a stranger things one and it was absolutely incredible

one of my least favorite ones which a lot of people will waste their money on is the Simpsons one. I swear it is a fucking quarter eater. The paddles are way too far apart. And every third or fourth hit you get to the corner of no return and your ball is lost.

One of my favorite parts of the South Park one is when you push start without putting quarters in and cartman says cmon, even Kennys family has a quarter

Venom looks neat. Peak pinball for me has to be either Twilight Zone or TNG. Addams Family, too.

I'm hardly an informed connoisseur, though.

Despite my user name, I've never been able to play the D&D table. I know it exists, though.

I want to play more pinball machines. But I rarely see them these days But thats probably because Im usually not looking

The barcade I have been going to for years used to have about 20 pinball machines, including most of the ones I mentioned, then they had a falling out with the guy they were renting them from so they all got taken out and replaced with five or six brand new machines

the new machines are great. Theyre new. And great. But some of the greatest old machines had a special feel to them the newer machines dont have

having said that, one I left out that is one of the best ever is the new Rick and Morty pinball machine. It is mind blowing, and includes an anti gravity function where the ball is definitely controlled by magnets and floats around. Its amazing.
