I really like both MM3 Opening and Snake Man Stage. Merging them together doesn't work at all. Somehow we get the worst of both worlds instead of the best. It's still somewhat enjoyable because of how good the base songs are, but I would vastly prefer them separately. Not a huge fan of the X3 Opening music, and while this remix might make it a bit better, it's still not really my thing.

X's opening stage isn't quite my thing either. Interesting to have the same melody in both songs here for a more direct comparison. I like the instruments more in the original, while the remix goes more places. Both of these matches are really close for me.

Snake Man is a good song, and the instruments mix well. I continue to wonder what's the big appeal of this album, honestly; but the extra sections of the song are enjoyable. PX2 works okay, and the guitar bit is pretty good, but being this short hurts it a bit. Eh, enough for me to vote, I suppose.

Not that surprised by this artists anymore after three listens, but it's still solid fusion after all. I think I'm not that hooked on it because I prefer Opening Stage being upbeat, but it's a very respectable take and I like how the melody is used. Speaking of Opening Stage, the original still kicks ass, and it's such a perfect song to get you pumped into the action, with the guitar leading all the way through. This song is always welcome. Easy vote.

The second match is weird! The cover wouldn't exist without the original, and familiarity with the original enhances the cover for me, but I prefer listening to the cover? I guess my choice is clear...

Not a big fan of match 1 in general. Best X3 opening remains the arranged/PSX version. Something about the percussion in it just feels... idk, radio-edit generic? Still beats the Chiptune remix though, for me. I'm not a fan when contemporary chiptune remixes "clip" their sounds- it doesn't feel authentic to me. Struggling to get the right words there.

Match 2, the original set the mood for the offshoot series perfectly. The mood from the arrangement... doesn't.

I love the way the opening theme is utilized in this. A pretty simple and slow, kind of mournful? Arrangement. Before it ramps up into the fun and catchy Snake Man. This is just a plain fun track. Doesn't hit me like the Tornado Man remix, but it's still great!

I can see myself having a blast when this plays in game, but geez louise, what a short loop! Dunno if it's because the other song is much longer, but I expected something, well, unexpected to happen.

I'm enjoying how smooth this arrangement is. Makes me want to go out for a late drive at night. Love that piano solo going on. This is just really feel good tbh.

Talk about a mood whiplash! Love seeing the original in this match, but I kind of hate it too. I think the original just barely wins out to me.

I really like both tracks in match 1, but Snake Mix ascends to greatness around 2:21, while X Zone could do with a little more going on. Love the start of the loop in that one though.

Full disclosure, when putting match 2 together in the bracket I didn't realise these were the same song >_> The vibes are so different! I feel like I should enjoy Prologue more than I do, whereas the OG is sufficiently solid.

Chiptuned Rockman is the best thing ever. This Project X Zone 2 mix is really solid though! Shame to vote against it.

I like other arrangements from the Alph-Lyla album more than Awakening Road. Opening Stage X is top tier.

Awakening Road is literally too good for this contest. Like, how does that even qualify as a Mega Man song? But I can't not vote for it, it's the best song so far.

Im definitely digging the arranges today! I wish the ending for the Snake Man Mix wasnt so abrupt, but the rest of it felt pretty good.

Also, Prologue-Awakening Road is just a song from Border Down, you cant tell me its not.

Oh, hey, at least I suspected Opening/Snake Man as being KPLECRAFT before finding out who remixed it... well, I didn't think it WAS them, but it certainly brought that specific musician to mind, so I figure that counts well enough.
