If the money was less (say 2500 instead), Id probably go for the notebook but the money would be too much for me to pass up.

The notebook has no way of benefitting you. Are you going to call someone out on something they might have said years ago? And they're only going to respond by asking how you could possibly know that. The only other thing it would do is feed your own insecurities. There's just nothing to gain from having it.

You dont want to know what companies you interview with are saying? Any business deals you might be involved with?

If you cant find a way to make your fortune by having every word of everyone involving you that you will ever deal with I dont even know what to say.

The magic notebook would probably make me want to give up on life.

Imagine if you were an assassin, or a hit-man-for-hire and everytime you murder, you know exactly which "witnesses" actually saw you, and you could easily clean up any messes left.
Knowing what people know and speak about you -- would be invaluable.

I guess the notebook could greatly change your life if you knew how to use it right. I'd be curious on what my descendants would say about it more than anything though. I'd probably pick the money though if I had the option.

I'd pay 25,000 for that book.

- I could use a few more chuckles.
- Let's me know who my real friends are
- See if my workers are stealing my clients
- Also see if my tenant's plan on not paying me their rent
- business partners screwing me over.

The book would be OP as hell.

Im already assuming the worst with that book, so Ill take it. I could likely find a way to profit pretty easily from it, and if it really drives me crazy Ill just close the book and lock it away somewhere.

Gimme the money, I'm already paranoid enough about what people might be saying about me behind my back without being ableto read their minds.

The easiest way to profit from it is to choose the $25,000 instead.

I forgot to mention, since we're talking about future instances, it also means learning when and how you die. Not something I'd be interested in learning. But then that creates a whole paradox where I could theoretically avoid or postpone my death, so this magic notebook would need a way to deal with that.

Because there are infinite ways to change the future the book accounts for them all. Thus the book is infinite. Its infinite size and mass destroy the entire universe.

Something is written in the book that you absolutely cannot avoid. But because you try to avoid it, you basically cause it to happen.

Money. We aren't meant to hear everything said about us when we aren't around. Your partner venting about you to a friend isn't something you should necessarily know.

And thats light. I can think of plenty scenarios that would be worse than that.

Why would you want that information. Everybody talks shit about everybody at some point. Some things don't need to be known.

Bestow $25K unto me, comrade.

Money. I don't want to know everything people say about me.

Cash.

It would be more useful to me than knowing anything that people aren't willing to say to my face.

I'd rather be blissfully ignorant to it all.
