Played first surge. Thought was janky. Didn't enjoy. Heard 2nd lot better

Guacamelee was a pretty fun Metroidvania game. I beat the first one and played a little of the second IIRC.

I enjoyed both of the surge games for a soukslike play through, but no invasions or coop it was one and done

First Guacamelee's one of my favorite games of all time, second is quite as well.

Guacamelee is pretty fun. Its not the longest game but its a pretty tightly put together metrodivania beat em up with some nice platforming. The music's great and I found the visual theming pretty good too. The game's loaded with referential humour which in my opinion ranges heavily from great to very corny. It also goes on sale like a million times a month on PSN.

Surge 1: good but unpolished (and the end section is definitely undercooked)
Surge 2: good, awkward difficulty curve Guacamelee: Noticably Indie metroidvanias (there's design elements and decisions that just...feel budget), but good and has co-op --- Variable General Veeg, at your service ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'm here to second both Guacamelee games. I played them both co-op with a friend and it felt like a beat em up during a Metroidvania. Probably helped we're both hispanic and take care of chickens though <_<
I wish CE archived so I could just copy/paste my extended thoughts on both games. Metroidvania is probably my favorite genre of video games and Guacamelee 2 is a top 10 MV for me probably. --- https://abload.de/img/aonp7v.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

Surge 1 and 2 are great if you like Souls game.
