The other day I didn't mention it, but someone in my household was the victim of an attempted armed carjacking (one of the three to four criminals drew a firearm) right in front of my home. They drove off before I could engage them. I feel like I'm being tested. I feel like this year is an experiment to see if and when I will snap. I'm used to a relentless torrent of annoyances but this year is so much worse than that. I know that the universe is unbiased and uncaring, but this year feels malicious, like I'm being targeted. I'm so close. I'm bristling. I'm dry kindling waiting for a spark. I'm waiting for something and I feel like I'm within a hair of having one last very bad day. --- When was the last time you heard your boy Nas rhyme?
