I will say as a grown man in his late 30s I typically don't concern myself with why people enjoy the things they do. Things like low effort trolling on a two decade website. To each their own, you know?

I would hope thinking that people should have productive hobbies actually is a super common stance. That doesn't mean that playing games shouldn't be a hobby, just that people shouldn't obsessively play video games to the exclusion of any other hobbies.
