It kinda sucks. Just.. boring. Some of the animation is weird, villains and heroes ain't very interesting. It's just very mediocre

Because not only is Dracula backed by hundreds of years of mythos that pop culture osmosis regularly conveys to a general audience (seriously, he may as well have been called Lucifer), but he has another advantage. The show showcased both his motive and his overwhelming power in episode 1, giving him an immediate sense of power, purpose, and presence.

Erzabet does none of that. Her tenuous link to Sekhmet comes out of absolutely nowhere and has fuck all to do with even the legends of Elizabeth Bathory (which tbh are way more interesting than what we got), she doesn't have that pop culture presence to carry any weight, she doesn't show up until very late in the season, she does fuck all to distinguish herself from a regular-ass vampire until the 11th hour, she has no established motive, and mostly comes off as a dollar-store knock off of Carmella. Hell, my wife and I had no idea what she was even trying to do with the moon until she actually did it, and even then we have no idea why she just arbitrarily waited until right this minute to do it

after seeing the show, it should be instantly obvious why salty neckbeard dipshits are upset about it...

personally, i enjoyed the first show more but i still liked this one. action was pretty on point even if the story was kind of "eh" for me.

show kept killing off characters that were barely just introduced so you don't give a fuck when they die.

this is just bad storytelling

My only issue was the singing in it, found it annoying

It just kinda came out of nowhere and the register is so high it seems awkward as hell lol. Something about it just felt weird and out of place

^the very first, falsetto register song was...jarring. I thought he was playing a castrati at first smh.

The other songs were fine to me though.

I can't believe they made something worse than S3.

so yes because of your own bias you give dracula a free pass

we are never given any reason for his power being above a normal vampire

we are given one for erzabet

yet the one your complaining about is is erzabet
