Welcome to the 2023 edition of Most Evil Fictional Character, a single-elimination tournament to determine the most evil fictional character of all time!

-First and foremost, YOU MUST BOLD YOUR VOTE FOR IT TO COUNT. The reason for this is that these topics encourage a lot of discussion and debate, and it helps me to distinguish a vote from simple discussion if all votes are bolded. So, I state again, ALL VOTES MUST BE BOLDED FOR THEM TO COUNT. I reserve the right to be lenient in early topics if people just aren't getting it, but for the most part, IF YOUR VOTE ISN'T BOLDED, IT WON'T COUNT.

-You must vote for which of the two characters you honestly believe to be the more evil of the two. You can determine this via any method you like, use your own morals and judgement, read all the arguments made to determine your choice, or however you choose to make your pick, but you must only vote for the one you truly believe is the most evil. This isn't a death battle, or a popularity contest. You're voting ONLY for the most evil character out of the two choices presented.

-While on that subject, remember that because this isn't a death battle or a fighting tournament, do your absolute best to consider the two characters as if their power levels were equal (either the weaker character brought up to the level of the strongest, or vice versa, or both if you want to consider both possibilities). Therefore, just because, for example, one of the characters blew up a planet and the other one merely kicked a puppy, doesn't necessarily mean the planet killer is more evil than the puppy kicker. Consider the characters as if they have the exact same capabilities and what they might do in that scenario.

-You can make any arguments, debates, etc. you want in this topic. Discussion is STRONGLY encouraged, a fun debate about which of the two characters is most evil is exactly what these topics are for. Just don't make it personal, no insults or flaming, keep things civil even if you disagree. Also, no vote rallying, if you want to encourage people to vote for your character you need to at least make some semblance of an argument as to why, even if it's just "Character X did (really dastardly thing), I can't believe no one's voting for them!"

-Voting will continue for exactly 24 hours after the post is made. If there's a tie, there will be a new 24 hour topic. This will continue indefinitely until a winner is determined.

The following write-ups will contain untagged SPOILERS for Game Of Thrones and Total Drama. Proceed at your own risk!

RAMSAY BOLTON

Ramsay Bolton is a major antagonist in the Game of Thrones novels and television series.

Lord Ramsay Bolton, born Ramsay Snow, was the legitimized bastard son of Roose Bolton, Lord of the Dreadfort, and the unidentified wife of a miller. Following the successful capture of Winterfell from the Ironborn, Ramsay holds Theon Greyjoy captive and utilizes extreme torture to break him into loyal submission; renaming him "Reek." Some time later, Ramsay hunts a girl named Tansy in the woods with his hounds, Myranda, and Reek. With bows in hand, he and Myranda gleefully pursue Tansy, firing arrows at her as they go. Ramsay explains that Tansy had made Myranda jealous, so she has to go because she causes too many problems otherwise. Myranda manages to strike Tansy with an arrow in the leg before Ramsay happily releases his dogs on her, killing her. Through an arrangement orchestrated by Petyr Baelish, Ramsay is wed to Sansa Stark, who escapes from Winterfell along with Theon. Their escape drives Ramsay to murder his entire family on threat of being disinherited, he then becomes the new Warden of the North and Lord of Winterfell, replacing his father. Ramsay is a vicious, savage and thoroughly unpredictable psychopath who enjoys rape, necrophilia and torture. Ramsay is a genuine sociopath. He practises the sadistic Bolton custom of flaying his captives alive, he names his dogs after women he has killed and brings back their skin as a gruesome trophy. He is dishonorable, manipulative, ruthless, extremely sadistic, sexually depraved, wild, and completely capable of committing unspeakable atrocities without remorse, simply for pure amusement. Ramsay fully admitsand indeed revels in the factthat he tortures and kills innocent people for no reason whatsoever, and that they did not deserve what he did to them. He simply enjoys inflicting horrific torture on people.

CHRIS MCLEAN

Chris McLean is both the host and primary antagonist of the Total Drama animated reality show.

As the host of the show, Chris is in charge of designing challenges for the contestants to compete inall of which he intentionally makes excruciating and gruesome for the contestants to satisfy his sadistic tendencies. is most important co-host, employee, best friend, and sidekick is Chef Hatchet, as well as several interns whom he torments (even recklessly murdering via neglect for their well-being) for fun. Whenever he is absent, he lets Chef host his nasty challenges. Chris has zero concern for fairness and sportsmanship in the competition and loves to deliberately eliminate contestants who don't deserve it in extremely abrupt, unfair, and even outright cruel ways. On more than one occasion, he even outright breaks the fundamental rules of the game. Chris thoroughly enjoys it whenever contestants fight with, bully, exploit, betray, and cheat against each other, and sometimes tries to exacerbate the conflicts between them. In the fire-building challenge in "Up the Creek", Chris claimed that there were no rules against those carrying lighters when Duncan used them for the fire. In "Super Happy Crazy Fun Time Japan", instead of giving a panda for Cody, he chose Sierra to be his pinball buddy. In "Slap, Slap Revolution", he allowed Team Chris is Really Really Really Really Hot to use Owen to slide down the hill due to him eating raw meat. He is also vengeful to those who cross him, such as Scott when he arranged Fang to hurl the injured Scott as payback for flinging him into the "pit of poo". This is also shown by his dislike of Topher, who attempted to take over the show, and, while admitting that Chris himself would have also committed Topher's actions if he were in his shoes, still desired to rid himself of any potential rival or someone who insulted his work as the host. Chris eliminated another rival when he pushed Blaineley out of the plane after she tried to reveal that she was the initial choice as the host of Total Drama.

Surprised Chris' writeup doesn't include Zeke. This is a guy who drove a kid completely feral, caged said kid like an animal and used him to torment other kids, shoved him out of a plane with no parachute etc etc. Then when multiple seasons later when the feral kid nabs Chris and has him hung up over acid, Chris' response is to just fucking mock and laugh at him over everything while under threat of death. There was also the whole mutation of Dakota, going out of his way to twist the knife with the Dave/Sky stuff, and him making fun of Scott for being left in a near vegetative state that one season where he sicced that mutant super shark on him just to name a few.

I think part of what puts Chris over to me is just how over the top he goes with his antics. So like in the Ramsay hunting Tansy situation, Chris would have incorporated far more like cyborg bears and killer bees chasing her while she had to dodge land mines while broadcasting the whole affair.

Plus from what I am reading, Ramsay does some of his stuff only due to a potential consequence like being disowned while Chris (particularly later Chris) is completely into it and purposely tries to get the contestants killed for shits and giggles. On top of it all Chris is primarily doing all this bullshit to kids/teens.

Oh yeah and there was that time Chris stole actual babies to incorporate into a challenge where he made the contestants each carry a stolen baby across a field of bears, lions, rattlesnakes, and a fucking avalanche zone. Like come on.

He also raped a plant too...somehow.

I somehow doubt Chris would do any of that. Ramsay is a supremely evil character.

Funny thing is Chris DOES do most of that only in a more cartoonish crazy manner. Only exception being the mass rapist part where instead he got more imaginative and raped a plant

Calling Chris evil for pushing someone out of a plane kinda feels like calling Bugs Bunny evil for making Elmer Fudd shoot Daffy or himself.

Stealing babies as a prank for a reality show doesn't go anywhere near touching what Ramsay does, and the fact that the stakes on Total Drama are basically nothing because toon physics really kinda dulls everything. As opposed to the Boltons, who are like to steal your kid, slice all its skin off, and then give you back the rest of it

The man siccs mutated monster sharks, cybernetically enhanced bears, robots and far more dangerous wild life on the contestants for fun as well as other stuff from electrocution to sleep deprivation to drowning. He even traps one in a mine filled with toxic waste.

There was also another time where he literally pulled a Sidious spoof where a contestant got fucked up by a volcano so he stuffs/traps him into the crude drama machine bot and forces him to be an assistant / butt monkey for a future season

I can't comment on Ramsey as I don't want to read anything about GoT until I see it. But doesn't Chris show mercy in a couple of instances, thus him being near pure evil instead of pure evil?

Also doesnt Chris intend for people to survive that, or at least not mind if they do, while Ramsay absolutely wants people dead. And he does it in the most graphic and sadistic ways possible. It feels like the intent is different in addition to the intensity of the acts.

Early Chris is more restrained yeah. Later/Current Chris is basically a complete psychopath who will trick a guy into a glass box filling with water rigged with an advanced technical lock SAW style and just let him drown if the challengers fail. He'd also go out of his way to make things more deadly or rig shit so they'd die. Sometimes he even flat out says "yeah a lot interns fucking died setting up and running this little challenge of mine and none of them survived...so good luck!"

If he were in Westeros he'd be more of the sort to make the horrible things a spectacle. Like he'd have a crowd gathered to watch that girl get hunted.

What makes Chris successful? How does he hold down this host job? Who is his boss? Why are people still watching his show?

Are these valid questions?

Im trying to figure out if hed actually be able to accomplish his evil feats if dropped into another environment (lets say Westeros)

Cartoon logic, lawyers, and people love drama I suppose lol! He did get sent to prison once (less so for the whole deadly murder stuff and more for turning an island into a toxic waste dump filled with monster mutants) but was bailed out to host another season. Though Chris by himself is pretty formidable, seeming to have a lot of tech/explosive know how, smart enough to be able to hack into a government black site somehow (yeah shocking how this wasn't what ended him in prison either), and general cartoon strength/durability/charisma which if applied to another setting would probably make him a powerhouse.

I feel like intent is more important than success.

Trying to poison an entire city and murder all the children but being thwarted would still be more evil than successfully poisoning one targeted person.

I vote Chris because I think, although he and Ramsay are both sadists, Chris gets a lot more creative if you put him in Westeros than Ramsay does if he hosts Total Drama.
