Bidding at $1k that is so far with plenty of time left. This has really gotten out of hand. Copies of that game not long ago were selling for $600-700 range.

A shame that my old copy of Crystal is long gone.

...I doubt I would have sold it anyway, but still.

I have recently started collecting them over the year too

I havent touched the even more ridiculously priced ones like Emerald and Crystal though.

Mine were all bought at release. My parents gave one version to me and one to my older brother and we both got third versions (I wasn't even really old enough to play RBY). We kept up the tradition into teenage years and now adulthood.

It didn't start out as a collection, it just turned into one because we're both very tidy people who look after our stuff, even as kids.

Nope. Just complete in almost like new condition. Part of me thinks its being manipulated by the seller since I havent seen a copy go that high before and Ive been watching for a good priced copy for a year now.

Same. I took care of all my games as a kid growing up and had so many games up till I regrettably sold them all off like 10 years ago. I probably made like $1k off it all too at the time and today Itd be over 10x that amount if I wasnt a poor kid at the time lol.

I have a copy of every Pokemon cart up until the 3DS games. I wish I still had their boxes though haha.

Only ones Im missing CIB are Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Leafgreen, and Crystal. The most ridiculous amount Ive paid was for White 2 and Black 2 at like $160-200 range each. I get the original games costing $250-300 including the gba titles cause of cardboard boxes n all. DS plastic cases puzzle me why those games are valued so high.
