Terry Pratchett changed his German publisher in 1994.
Heyne was the biggest German scifi publisher at the time so why would he change?
He discovered that they had inserted two pages of ads for 5 Min Soup.
Suddenly the story took a break and the main character sat down and ate some 5 Min Soup.
Pratchett got angry and demanded an apology and a promise that it would never happen again. Heyne couldnt do that, so he switched publisher. This was right before he became really popular in Germany.
Heyne seems to have done this with pretty much every book they published, there is even a Star Trek TNG book that got soup ads.
This originated in the 50s/60s when they published cheap pockets and they had tons of cheap scripts to pick from, they simply needed the inbook ads to make a profit.
Jumping to the 90s and they were selling expensive books, so those ads were not needed to make a profit, but they were a nice bonus. The suits got a higher profit, the writers didnt know about it and the readers were used to them, they were just happy to be able to read the published books. Shortly after Heyne stopped with the ads.

https://gmkeros.wordpress.com/2011/09/02/terry-pratchett-and-the-maggi-soup-adverts/
There were a number of reasons for switching to Goldmann, but a deeply personal one for me was the way Heyne (in Sourcery, I think, although it may have been in other books) inserted a soup advert in the text a few black lines and then something like Around about now our heroes must be pretty hungry and what better than a nourishing bowl etc, etc. My editor was pretty sick about it, but the company wouldnt promise not to do it again, so that made it very easy to leave them. They did it to Iain Banks, too, and apparently at a con he tore out the offending page and ate it. Without croutons.

Nephews/Nieces of the Hamas' political leader have served in the Israeli army according to today's Wikipedia article on Ismail Haniyeh[ constant edits you know]

Haniyeh's sisters, Kholidia, Laila, and Sabah, are Israeli citizens and live in the Bedouin town of Tel as-Sabi in southern Israel.[59] Kholodia moved to Tel as-Sabi first and then her two sisters followed.[59] Kholidia's husband said "Our life is normal here and we want it to continue."[59] Laila and Sabah are both widowed but remain in Tel as-Sabi, presumably to retain their Israeli citizenship.[59] Some of the children of the three sisters have served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).[59]

The cicadas emerging now may be 13 year or 17 year. Surprisingly, each of the 3 species of long term cicadas has 13 year and 17 members. Savants cannot see a difference between the pairs.
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/whats-the-difference-betw/

...
Periodical cicadas occur in three pairs of species--each pair comprised of a 17-year and a 13-year species. (There are other cicadas, such as dog-day cicadas, which have only a four-year life cycle.) The periodical varieties look, sound and behave alike. The only characteristic distinguishing them from one another is the length of time they spend in the ground during the nymphal stages--either 13 or 17 years.

Rodents cannot vomit.

They found rodents had bodily constraints that would limit how much they could vomit even if they could attempt it. This included reduced muscularity of the diaphragm, the thin sheet of muscle underneath the lungs, as well as a stomach that is not structured well for moving contents up the throat.
The researchers also investigated the brainstems of lab mice and rats. When given compounds that normally trigger nausea in other animals, the researchers saw less nerve, mouth, throat and shoulder activity normally linked with vomiting. This suggests they lack the brain circuits for throwing up.

You really should give references for above, plants crying. I checked the Internet just to be sure but I was about chide you for being facetious. I am going to hunt for links.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37001499/
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37344301/

The first is the source and the second is what my search turned up and where I found the source.
Abstract
Stressed plants show altered phenotypes, including changes in color, smell, and shape. Yet, airborne sounds emitted by stressed plants have not been investigated before. Here we show that stressed plants emit airborne sounds that can be recorded from a distance and classified. We recorded ultrasonic sounds emitted by tomato and tobacco plants inside an acoustic chamber, and in a greenhouse, while monitoring the plant's physiological parameters. We developed machine learning models that succeeded in identifying the condition of the plants, including dehydration level and injury, based solely on the emitted sounds. These informative sounds may also be detectable by other organisms. This work opens avenues for understanding plants and their interactions with the environment and may have significant impact on agriculture.

( So cutting edge that any moment I expect someone to reveal to me I fell for a hoax.)

I mean I remembered seeing it in a book I had a long time ago so I went to find online info about it now.

Still though, it would be appreciated if you could be a bit more understanding about innocent mistakes that harm no one. Im not telling people that horse dewormer cures covid; Im just saying what I read years ago and found on a lot of generally reputable websites so I assumed it to be true.

And whimsy is sort of my thing. I tend to put faces at the end of most of my sentences/paragraphs unless its serious, and react to posts with one or more of my literally hundreds of reaction pics. So please, correct me if I present false information, but try to do so in a polite fashion.

I think the reason I got so touchy about it is that there is a real need for people to respect research that documents how it achieves its results and that can be repeated.

It is just crucial imo for our futures that we base our 'facts' on observations that can be re-observed under the same conditions by anyone:

People believe the earth goes around the sun.

People believed covid transmission was a hoax.

Ten of thousands of Venezuelans made the arduous and long-long journey to the USA based on false info from social media.

But being friendly plays a crucial role in information. If people do not share, ... If people do not listen, ...

So I wanna be friends.
