One subscription gets you access to Classic Era, Hardcore Classic, WotLK Classic, and the modern game. That's how much people are spending on KING products. Add to that a reduced cost for Blizzard IPs in-game shops? I can see them reducing the cost of skins from 20 dollars in Overwatch to 2 dollars, which in turn forces the mass sales principle to apply (aka reduce the cost so much that they sell 10x the product, but make 2-3x what they would have made with the original cost). ...
