Anyone seen this show yet on Netflix? It's apparently Mike Flanagan's last horror series (creator of Hill House, Midnight Mass, etc.) before he leaves to work for Amazon Prime.

I think it was a fitting farewell series from him. Watching the mental frefall of the Usher children, crossed with the harshness of capitalism and wealth, specifically the pharma giants that benefited off of opiods.

I'll miss seeing shows like this on Netflix.

Haven't watched it yet but definitely will be going to. Mike Flanagan has literally never made anything bad (though I actually haven't watched The Midnight Club so that could be bad but I doubt it!)

I've decided to put my fears behind me. I'm not going back.

The Midnight Club was definitely his worst work, but I still wouldn't say it was bad. Huge step down from everything else though, which I loved.

One episode in on this so far and I'm already hooked! I hope he keeps doing this same sort of thing on Amazon or wherever else he goes. It's become a spooky month tradition at this point for my wife and I.

I am being forced to wait to watch it, but I should be able to start it next Wednesday. The plan is a full on binge. I've heard nothing but good things though!

Six episodes in and this could be the best thing that Flanagan has put out. If it isn't, it's at least up there with his best stuff. Loving the modern takes on Edgar Allen Poe stuff. Just such a creative, fun, intriguing show.

I thoroughly enjoyed it! It is so hard for me to rank these because I really enjoyed them all so much.

Except for The Midnight Club. That's definitely the bottom of the five. I'd have to think where the other four rank, but I am glad this one turned out as well as it did. I was definitely worried after The Midnight Club that he had lost his touch a bit.

I really liked it too. Just a true love letter to Edgar Allen Poe. Bruce Greenwood is fantastic and its hard to believe that it was ever supposed to be Frank Langella, big upgrade. Would not quite put it up there with Hill House and Midnight Mass for me but its close.

Im not familiar with the Poe writing so I just assumed this was about the singer Usher whenever i saw it mentioned for like the last month.

Haha, that was my initial reaction too. I thought it was some pop culture documentary about Usher and so I ignored it for the first day or two, but then I saw a headline online about it and I realized it had nothing to do with Usher.
