As tempting as it may be, it seems incredibly risky to undergo such a complex procedure. My nose is fuckin huge and curved, like a pelicans beak. It's honestly the main reason why I've never fitted in anywhere or had a girlfriend. Those factors alone make me desire a nose job but it's very expensive, literally a life saving's for many.

The side effects can be very distressin which range from difficulty breathin for weeks, swollen head and nose pain, headaches, amongst others. Nothin's guaranteed either, I've even heard stories of the nose lookin worse and we've seen that south park episode. I guess beauty comes from within but that's easier said than done with a beak like penguin cobblepot.

That's not why you haven't had a girlfriend. The fact is, there are girls who are attracted to all sorts of features just like men. Like, you might not like that feature on you, but some girl out there might find it very attractive (I personally find larger, curved noses very attractive on women, and you often see it on middle eastern women).

But I mean, we aren't going to be able to reason you out of your body dysmorphia either. That's not how things like that work.

ye true, I even had a girlfriend in January who told me she loves me everyday before she eventually blocked me. It was very passionate which suggests that beauty is skin deep. I do have very nice eyes, from the front I'm a handsome guy and have been told that a few times on face cam or in profile pictures.

But from the side is another story, my nose isn't just big, it's fuckin massive, really long and curved. My mum also has the same nose, like a hooked nose. I believe it's called an aquiline nose or roman nose. I've been bullied for it throughout school and at a fast food job. I remember the manager's openly takin the piss out of my nose, callin me all sorts of insultin names which I had to laugh off to save face.

I guess that low self esteem has always stuck with me. I've had lady friends who understood me for my positive values and it was very passionate, but I've never had a proper relationship. I do believe that people form subconscious judgements based on looks, there's definitely a reason why I'm treated with such contempt and hostility at work as I touched on in another thread. My social anxiety and depression is also a major factor.

People who insult others based on their face are no different than fat shamin someone, yet it's considered more acceptable for some reason, same with how it's somehow acceptable to height shame someone. These all carry the same insecurities, I believe everyone should be treated equally and fairly but there's definitely a subconscious prejudice in society and this is highlighted in being ghosted for no reason at work for instance. My self confidence is a big issue, I definitely need to rectify that but I've always been very insecure tbh, my mental health is a barrier for me for sure, somethin I've always struggled with.

If your real life personality is like on here, that's the reason you don't have a girlfriend.

I've read some horror stories of fucked up procedures overseas, some even fatal. They're marketed as more cost effective yet these are unlicensed surgeons with no health insurance. Even a simple lip filler procedure can have disastrous results with the wrong surgeon. That seems to be the most common procedure these days amongst many young women. Popular reality shows like Love Island have raised the standards of beauty to unreasonable levels, same with Tinder.

That's why many people feel like they're never good enough. I just wish I had a normal nose, I could live with my short height more if my nose wasn't so undesirable. It honestly looks like a beak, worse when close up. I try to forget about it but then notice it on reflection then my self doubt resurfaces.

I mean, kids do that shit, but it isn't really common among adults. But the damage to your self-esteem can last for a long time. Like, you've just got to understand though that there is nothing necessarily unattractive about having an aquiline nose. Even on men, I think the feature looks noble. But if people think that feature is something you are ashamed of, at your age, some people are going to hone in on that weakness. Self-esteem is a feedback loop where the lower your self-esteem, the more people will do things that harm it.

One thing you can do of course is to work on things that you can improve about yourself and your looks rather than worrying about things that are difficult to fix. Working out, eating healthy, engaging in proper grooming, ect, can make a lot of difference. And making the effort is important to self-confidence as well, because as you work at it, you'll feel better about yourself for doing so. Its all a feedback loop, and improving yourself like that will improve your mental health too.
