Any high tier detective superhero could probably figure out who light was eventually. Not easily but they would. Helps that their identitys would be hidden by default.

when the seagulls cry aka umineko naku no koro ni made by the same writer as higurashi i would advice not to watch the anime adaption cuz it's horrible plus unfinished as well the novel it's better since the first part starts as a good old murder mystery and it pays heavy nods to classic detective series since the first episode is based on ''and then there were none''

You give him too little credit - light established a pattern around japan, and wanted attention even if it came from the darkest corners of the net like 4chan. Now, if someone who didn't want to be noticed got ahold of it we'd be talking.

Kira (Yoshikage) got away with it by doing just that. Bomb 0 leaves no evidence whatsoever and Sheer Heart Attack is just a very messy Death Note. He ended up making ONE mistake and it ruined him.

I recall the anime but its premise made absolutely zero sense to me. Especially when both we and him see all the supernatural crap they do up to and including the murders firsthand.

Although maybe the anime was just a bad adaptation?

Yep. Murder She wrote is one of best detective/crime scenes show of all time.

I see Ryutaro Dojima on that list ,but it does make sense because he couldn't solve 2 murder incidents while he needed his nephew for one of them to solve mass murder cases. Oh btw, Adachi never solve cases because he's part of that if you know what I mean. As for Naoto, I think she did figure out codes that help Yu and his company to solve riddles that related to murder cases.

Btw, where are Matlock and lady detective from Cold Case ? And there are no Batman and Darkwing.

I think most of those characters shouldn't be able to solve it without supernatural powers of their own.

I feel like that list underestimates Phoenix Wright. The man has solved a lot of cases with supernatural aspects.

TBF, in Lights case I think one could.

The man got so arrogant and cocky he practically begged to be caught. He would have never gotten caught if he kept his ego in check and played things more cautious and strategically.

Fair, but I do remember a lot of L's deductions after Light's massive fuck up with Lind L Taylor being very contrived and him ruling out a lot of more likely possibilities to zero in on Light's supernatural circumstances.

Yeah, it's honestly telling that in the one-off released around 2019 the high schooler nowhere near as "genius" as Light was able to make a very easy fool-proof plan that Near, the guy who "beat" Light, couldn't do anything against.
