Mice in your home might be invasive species in the local environment, and releasing them into the wild would be supporting the spread of an invasive species. The problem is, if you forget to check them, the mouse ends up dead anyway. They panic and die in a much less humane way than just snapping their necks. I had a pet mouse when I was a kid and he was wayy better than the hamsters I had thatd try to bite me all the time. The mouse was very docile. --- I'm a Taurus.
