Sometimes my dog (a mixed breed but may or not be a terrier) gets to the mouse first, which is effective, if horrifying. Trumble 10/16/23 5:15:56 PM #14:	Live catch traps; the poison comes out if there's still a mouse problem after a week or two of those. Snap traps are too risky for pets (cockatiels). All the rodent problems we've had, as far as I can remember, happened in our garage, which (unlike most garages) isn't connected to our house, so I don't think they've ever so much as seen a mouse since the day they came home. More humane than glue traps, and sometimes mice get their ass caught in snap traps so they suffer that way too. I dont often get them at my place, and I do hate killing them.
