Aressar posted... As a Dutchman, I'm kind of curious about this. Do you have a source? It was a Zembla episode about recycling from some time ago: https://www.bnnvara.nl/zembla/artikelen/waarom-bedrijven-onnodig-veel-plastic-blijven-gebruiken That company you mention has the right idea. Meanwhile RD4 now not only has the yellow bag for electronics/toys/hard plastics but also a pink bag for soft plastics to make stuff even more confusing. The issue was also a lot of stuff gets trashed because of incorrect recycling, like people putting the plastics for sandwich meat in the plastic recycling bags. They then have to burn the entire bag since its contaminated and unusable. If they sort stuff themselves that issue doesnt exist. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Depends where you are in the world. Count on modern day U.S.A to allow all this crap. USA used to be innovative, and we used to have numerous places to recycle. Now you can hardly find anyplace to recycle aluminum. Which is weird, since those in power want all these metals so badly. For example, brass knuckles were banned, and no dimes/quarters/ other coins after 1964 were made in all silver. Know why? They want all the precious metals and $$$ Aluminum is being used to make vehicles now. So why isn't there a program to collect aluminum cans? --- "Er...well, y'know.
