The whole kingdom bit is so out of place. Only Shadow really fits: he got a CDL and works for the government after dealing with evil Pete. They took that cool approach to layering the narrative together and turned it into s linear level select menu that's played in a fixed order every time with no variations. I liked the story of SA2, and Shadow remains my favorite Sonic character by far, but SA2 was in many ways a downgrade from SA1 --- (He/Him) I write Naruto Fanfiction. Seems pretty damn "Sonic Adventure"-like to me.
