A bit of a rundown before going to the nitty gritty. In soccer, standings are determined by points giving based on a win/draw/loss. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and no points for a loss. The Premier League is the UK's top tier of soccer leagues in the country. At the end of the season, the three teams with the worst record get sent down to the Championship League and replaced with three teams from that league.

Right now, Sheffield United is currently sitting at the bottom of the league with 1 standing point out of 8 games (0 wins, 1 draw, 7 losses). One of those 7 losses was an 8-0 spanking Newcastle United gave them. They also have the league's worst goal difference of -16. I decided to look at the record of the worst team of all time to show up in the Premier League. That team is the 2007-08 Derby County, a team that is right now in the third tier of UK soccer leagues (League One). After eight games, they had a record of 1 win, 2 draws, and 5 losses, and have a standings point total of 4. They also only had 1 win that entire season and finished with a standing point total of 11.

Before the season, I would have bet money on Luton having the worst record.

I think all three promoted teams will go down. Shame, because I like what Kompany is doing at Burnley, and it's about time Everton got what's coming to them.

Luton and Burnley have their issues. Luton's defense is coming together. The problem with them is that they can't score any points which will hurt them real soon. Their first couple of games was where their was a significant difference in score. But, their most recent games have been scores like 2-1, 1-1, or 1-0.

Burnley's schematics, which worked in the Championship, is just not working in the Premier League.

And there is Bournemouth who are falling flat on their face.
