They are vented and lite weight material, plus its always so damn hot here. You can find cheaper brands though other than Columbia.

The shirts usually have a vent in the back which makes it stand out. I find it funny how I'll see so many men ages 40+ with that shirt on as if they're all shopping at the same stores.

I have a few of those, but for hiking instead of fishing, and also because like folks said, it's hot down here.

And since covid, I don't really go out to eat except for on vacation (and even then only to places without much of a crowd), but if I did, I really wouldn't care if someone disapproved of my shirt, lol.
