Dude makes some very good points. I feel this is the stance most people should take ass it is a very nuanced issue. Both sides have done wrong and you can condemn both while still siding with Palestine and Israeli citizens who are caught in the middle.

This is the guy who dismembered a critic, right? I don't think I really care to know what his opinion is.

No, that is Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and it's still "allegedly".

This is Turki bin Faisal Al Saud.
There are hundreds of Saudi Prince. If it's bin Salman, they refer him as crown prince instead.

Thanks for clarifying.

Sorry to have misidentified him.

I expected some weak form of "both sides" but this is about as strong as someone could put it. He's not wrong at all.

It's only allegedly in Saudi Arabia.

The rest of the world knows he did it. Maybe not personally but he gave the order to do it.

It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

I put the quotation mark on purpose, you know.
It's legal status is still allegedly, but people has no doubt that he ordered it.

On the other hand, the victim was not a mere journalist, but the son of a rival faction, the Khashoggi family. That's what makes me think that he really ordered it.

Even if it was that guy (which apparently it wasn't), he can still be right about this while being wrong about other things. It's just like how Putin is right to call for peace in Israel/Palestine despite the hypocrisy of doing so while waging war in Ukraine, it doesn't mean he's wrong about Israel and Palestine.

Or in other words: The message is not invalid simply because of who said it.

Who knows, it's possible. The language he used to condemn Hamas was actually incredibly strong even if it didn't seem as such.

Is a message invalidated because of who said it?

Let me put it this way, I'm not taking advise from the person who said that the people of Israel were culpable for what their government had done. I remember very clearly you saying that 57% of the population supported their government as if that somehow meant that the other 43% deserved to suffer for it as well.

One thing to remember:
Hamas is Iran's operatives, and Saudi hates Iran more than Israel.

It kinda is. If a multi-billionaire with a billion dollars in cold hard cash is like "people should donate more often" then yeah fuck that guy, when that kinda wealth could solve the world's problems and still accrue more wealth for him in terms of society's betterment as whole.

So while usually ad hominem argument is wrong, it kinda sorta still applies on some level

I mean, this is one of the few issues that is both sides (though both sides is definitely a simplification)
