Currently hovering over the Buy button now on my PS5 for it. Worth full price or wait for it to go on sale? Looks like Bloodborne kind of, which I loved.

It is great but dont expect Bloodborne gameplay. It has a heavy emphasis on parrying, dodging is secondary.

I would say its worth full price honestly, its a very good soulslike. Probably the best non-Fromsoft one out there.

I kind of suck at parrying, at least in Soulsborne games. Is the window not too punishing or need precise timing?

It has a delay. But theres a shield you can buy to cheese parrying. My second GOTY after re4

Parrying is a lot easier than it was in bloodborne at least. It's fairly precise but you can usually manage with only partying every so often with a majority of rolling in my experience

The parry timing felt a little too strict originally imo when I was playing the game day 1, but the game has since got a huge patch that made a crapton of tweeks to the game. One of those changes was toning down how small the parry window was for a lot of enemies and bosses in the game, which improved the general experience a good deal. (I have a friend who 100 percented the game before this huge patch came out and to be honest he is pretty pissed about it since a lot of those dudes they toned down was in his opinion on some ol' bull-shit when he died over and over getting past them, lol (its a more joking "wow, these dudes really made a huge-ass patch like a single day after I got the platinum trophy" kind of anger instead of being like, legit pissed. Think getting the mimic tear in elden ring the exact same night that patch released that toned the mimic tear down a bit......like I did, =(. lol).

Game is fun so far. Got past the first boss but still learning all the mechanics. Think it was $60 well spent I'm guessing.

Have Nioh 2 as well but weirdly could never get into it for some reason. Probably should give it another chance at some point.

you mean Pinnochio Souls? i'd say it's fun but wouldn't say 60$ worth fun... lol
