You know I thought MAYBE he was starting to pull back on being diet fox news, then he ends tonight with this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMF0bser1aM

Bloody hell its like he's doing a talk piece for Fox news and wants Tucker's job or something...I mean all that's going on and THIS is what he thinks is vital just because some kids are anti Israel? ( Facepalms)

Really.. Going all in with his Old man Yells at clouds image he seems to be projecting these days.. Which would be fine if he didn't have an Audience built up that will believe him without doing the littlest bit of research for themselves

Bill's correct

And "we signed it without reading it" is such a pathetic cop-out.
"We're not terrorist sympathizers, we're just dumb as a sack of bricks" -- Ivy league students, apparently
I guess this is why so many in Congress come from the Ivy League schools. They get precious experience signing important documents without actually reading it for their future careers.

'except the toddlers can fire the adults'

To be somewhat fair as someone who has worked in schools for a while, students can get teachers in trouble rather easily if there parents have any kind of influence.

All it takes is saying" This teacher is being unfair" or something and they can get in trouble...teachers can do so little to students, they can't really punish them unless they are outright harming someone and now even if they are caught cheating a lot of schools just let the students retake the tests so its at the point where students are just allowed to get anyway with mostly anything as long as they are not outright attacking folks...you really have to make a effort to fail at this point.

And at this point most students KNOW they have so little expected of them, and that's why teacher's have been so demoralized that it feels more like a daycare that so many are leaving. Of course, this is just about the reverse of how Maher is making it look, but it shows he's not really even trying to have a view point based in reality anymore.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

It can also be considered RE-education when you consider a lot of students have to unlearn the false, inaccurate, whitewashed versions of what they learned in their backwards underfunded schools.

Cherry-picking a list of horrible people who went to ivy league universities doesn't mean anything. That doesn't prove that most people who graduate from those universities are horrible people or that any of the assholes he named wouldn't have been assholes whether they went to an ivy league school or not.

Which is all the more reason so many Republicans want to shatter Colleges so that they can keep the whitewashed versions as the" True" history and culture of America, sigh.

This has always been a bad take. They aren't reeducation camps on the account that you aren't being reeducated on anything. Yes, there are stupid opinions that are head within the college campuses, but there are stupid opinions everywhere, and at least when there are stupid opinions in college there's an attempt to dispel them through actual education, and these people are at least taught to have evidence to support the opinions that might very well be stupid.

I've never liked this argument.

The anti-college rhetoric is just to build rapport with people who never went to college.

Bill Maher even told you that he went to elite school himself.

Rich guy tells you to not do what he did.

Smell fishy?

Why would you do it a different way if he got rich and famous doing it that way?

Bill Maher is so disingenuous.

So yea... Maher is THAT bad.

He doesn't make any money from us discussing how stupid he is here.

The most likely outcome is that he loses some people still clinging on and this may be the final nail in the coffin.

That's why it's important to share things like this about people who used to be former icons for a group.
