Perhaps. The point is moot anyway since someone pointed out the TC misrepresented Spider-Man wanting to ban all guns. He apparently just makes some quip at the gun club, doesn't mention anything about banning all guns.

If Spider-Man did go off on a rant about wanting to ban all guns it would come off as tone deaf because he has super powers and guns are mostly beneath him since his superpowers trump them easily.

Should Peter have also taken a moment to defeat an attempt to overturn an election? Does Miles need to beat up people protesting a drag reading hour?

Games can say what they want to say, but it's weird to get mad that a game isn't addressing every real world greivance.

OK, got to the gun club part and Peter does sound pretty angry when he says "Who's idea was it to have a gun club in the city?!" Then quips he should start a petition to get it closed and replaced with a "compliment club" and says that's better because they don't hurt anyone and are free. Not exactly a rant, but his stance is clear lol.

The bulk of the mission is taking the sude to a hospital and stopping the dudes selling dodgy fireworks. The initial fireworks are really only a setup.

White people can care about progress. If it's sincere, they usually pick 1 to 3 issues and stick with them. (That's true across the board, regardless of race, sex, orientation, etc.) This feels like setting up a bunch of targets in a row and trying to hit them all.

The flag does show a lack of consistency between the games but an easy fix. How an artist bungled that when there's already available assets from the previous game I can not understand.

Being deaf isnt. Writing a deaf character into a an open world action game is undeniably progressive.

I remember reading a story, as a kid, where Peter was thinking about maybe revealing his identity to the world, and MJ said he shouldn't because, revealing he's a white guy, he could be taking something from people who could imagine him as part of themselves, or something like that.

I can't tell if you're being negative and sarcastic about this. Internet, text, etc.

Im not being positive or negative. It isnt the norm for disabled characters to be in video games, especially open world action games, theyre addressing that by writing a completely original deaf character for these games in an effort to both be inclusive and normalise disabled characters being in games. Hence its progressive.

Now playing a mission as said deaf girl where Im doing BIPOC street art. This is a Spider-Man game, right?

Eh, I would be a little peeved if it were a main mission. Considering how the side missions have been in terms of gameplay I know what I'm getting into with a side mission.

Edit: Funny thing I found out, at the Wakandan Embassy or whatever it's called, you can have Miles do the Wakandan Salute but Peter has no contextual button to do the same.
