Hype crushed when I heard the voice acting of the lead and seeing mobile as the way to play it.

Half of the new SH projects are basically doomed to fail, this one included. Nobody asked for this. Nobody wants this. Every interactive media project like this has failed in the past. I just... Why?

Right. This is the interactive tv show thing that isn't even a game. The full list of projects is:
Ascension - an interactive show
Townfall - the game being done by a point and click adventure studio
2 remake - that's the one done by bloober that says they're done with scary games
"F" - this is probably the only actual SH-like game in the works that isn't a remake.
Return to Silent Hill - a new hollywood movie made by the guy who made the first one (and luckily nobody involved in the second)

Sigh. Oh well. At least it'll be something fun to do for Halloween.

They could have shown some gameplay elements to make it easier to understand exactly how this is going to work. If its a online with a community then people are just going to troll decisions.

Only a tiny percentage of voice actors are actually represented by the union, so the strike likely had little to no impact on this project anyway.

Townfall and f are the only ones I'm really interested in. well, and the movie; Gans did a good job with it overall, so I have a little hope for this one being at least decent.

And yeah, Revelation was baaaaaad.

I'll argue downpour is hated WAY more than it deserves. Homecoming is... Well it's a fun game to play but it's an awful silent Hill.

homecoming is not a fun game to play, it feels like no one playtested it at all. its a straight action game where the guns all feel like shit and the default melee weapon makes all of the others you find throughout the game useless because it stunlocks every enemy effortlessly

not gonna lie, book of memories was pretty fun. total fanservice game, and a total departure, but still fun. more than homecoming that's for sure. downpour was legit but still lacked depth.

i'm not going anywhere near this ascension crap.
