It's literally pureed bananas with some vitamin C added.

64 ounces of banana baby food is over $14 on Amazon. 64 ounces of bananas is less than $3 at the grocery store (.59 a pound here).

This is why new parents struggle. Thinking smashed up overpriced fruit in a jar will do something special for the child.

he means it tastes good, the topic is about how it's overpriced so he can't afford/consume more. and i don't think he's a parent, either, it's just thrown in there to keep it generalized.
