Increase state taxes and make states do more for themselves.

Also increase property tax.

Also take away tax benefits from landlords and cap individual/corporate ownership or residential properties to 2 per state.

"Also increase property tax."

Ah yes make homeownership even HARDER to attain

Instead ABOLISH or greatly lower property tax on your average home but VASTLY raise it on things like stadiums, golf courses, mansions etc and also keep it for multi home owners and increase it per home for each home they own. Also keep it for homes that are vacant and raise it more the longer it is vacant.

the landlords don't want you to know this but a 6% tax on all american properties would singlehandedly cover the entire 2007 federal budget

These suggestions will allow more people to own homes and have something thats theirs. It will also plummet the housing market and makes home affordable.

Under my system, inflation will increase accordingly, home prices will decrease by alot. So if a gallon of milk is $5 now and now your take home income increases by 30%, the milk will cost $8 but thats okay because you have more money so its even. The difference is now your home will be affordable and you'll actually have one instead of renting and spending 60-70% of your take home on renting out a shitty place with a shitty landlord.

The net supply increase with my policy will offset any kind of unaffordability from increased property taxes.

once read an interesting economic essay about how property taxes actually reduce the cost of real estate by introducing a recurring liability to ownership

if there was no cost to owning property, people would just accumulate and sit on it for generations, kinda like middle age europe (esp. the hre), granted it was adequately protected ofc
