No. I only had parties when I was very young, like 3 and 4 years old. Do guys even do sweet 16 parties? I dont recall seeing one though Im sure someone has.

Also, I work with someone how is 16 and out ranks me.

No, about 3 weeks before my 16th birthday, my mother was in a life threatening car accident. She was unconscious during my 16th birthday in an induced coma. My mom did live, but it was a total mess of a summer.

My friends did have a surprise party for me, it was very nice of them. It was just a small affair though and rather somber. I was going through a lot. My father hadn't come home from the hospital since the day of the accident. I was staying with my grandmother.

Not fun stuff.
I lost my mom in a single-person car accedent when I was nine.
I found my father dead on the floor when I was 25.

I don't want to sound glib, but I have you tagged as, I likes Alvvays.
There might be a reason why we both do. There is a certain sorrow in their songs.
Molly lost her father in almost the same exact way I lost my mother, and you almost lost yours.
